Title of the research topic: The press and the issue of amending the Law on Environmental Protection (2014).
To clarify the topic, we conducted a survey of three media outlets: the Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and the Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper.
Through my survey and research, I found that the Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and the Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper have regularly organized weekly and monthly special sections and columns to publish works on environmental issues, proposed amendments, and opinions from localities and experts on environmental matters.
Overall, the reporting process regarding the amendment and supplementation of the 2014 Environmental Protection Law by the three media outlets has kept pace with the rapid changes in practice. It reflects a management approach that is still heavily reliant on administrative orders, primarily based on procedures and processes, and does not yet prioritize management based on environmental protection goals and results. Some new regulations are only at the framework level, lacking detailed provisions, thus failing to ensure effective implementation. Many environmental protection provisions are scattered across different laws.
Given the particularly important role of the press in providing critical feedback and contributing to the improvement of regulations and laws in general, and environmental laws in particular, through research on the dissemination of legal information, participation in building and perfecting the legal framework, and social monitoring and critique of environmental protection issues, it can be affirmed that the press has been and is doing a good job in this area.
Therefore, the process of drafting and refining the 2020 Environmental Protection Law has received special attention from the National Assembly, the drafting agencies, and all sectors of society. In particular, the significant contribution of "The role of the press in critically reviewing the amendment of the Environmental Protection Law" (survey by Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper) has helped to expedite the amendment of the Environmental Protection Law to better suit the actual conditions of our country.

It is hoped that the results obtained during the survey, the observations from experts, localities, and citizens regarding the recommendations conveyed through press agencies, news agencies, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper, will serve as a source of information and a practical basis to help the National Assembly and experts researching the Law to propose and make decisions to amend and revise the Environmental Protection Law to better meet current realities.

Thesis title: Journalism and Issues related to amending Law on Environmental Protection (2014).
To clarify the content of the topic, we conducted surveys with three agencies specializing in journalism: Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper.
During the survey and research, I found out that News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper usually organized weekly and monthly seminars in order to present works related to environmental issues, amending issues, and opinions of local people and experts in terms of environment.
Overall, the reporting process related to amending the Law on Environmental Protection (2014) of the three agents approximately and updated effectively the rapid changes of reality. It also reflects management practices which depend heavily on administrative orders and procedures.Moreover, these practices do not focus on management methods that take goals and results of environmental protection into consideration. In addition, some regulations are somewhat general without giving a lot of details so they can not ensure the practical issues. Besides, a lot of contents about protecting the environment are excluded in many different laws.
With an extremely important role of journalsim in using counter-argument and contributing to improving regulations in law in general, and law on environmental protection in particular, accompanied by doing reserach, propagandising and popularizing laws, participating in constructing and perfecting legal corridor, supervising , and using counter-argument to environmental issues, we can state that journalsim has been doing well its role in this matter.
Therefore, the creating and amending process which improved Law on Environmental Protection 2020 has attracted significant attention from the National Assembly, participating agents and many social classes. Noticeably, “The role of Journalism in counter-argument to amending Law on Environmental Protection” (Carrying out a survey on Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper) plays a very crucial role, which contributes to boost the time in amending Law on Environmental Protection to make it practical in the condition of our country.
11. Practical Application
With the results from surveying process and hands-on experience from experts and local people about suggestions mentioned through agents specializing in journalsim, News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper were one of the sources, and a practical basis helping the National Assembly and experts in the law field have reasons for early proposals and decisions to edit and amend the Law on Environmental Protection so the law will be more and more suitable to today's reality.
