The thesis "Images of people with HIV/AIDS in the press – a 20-year gap" has achieved the following results:
- Conduct an analysis and comparison to evaluate the current state of the portrayal of people with HIV/AIDS in the media of the three surveyed newspapers. The analysis reveals the strengths and weaknesses in the management of communication messages by state management agencies and the three surveyed newspapers regarding the portrayal of people with HIV/AIDS.
- The portrayal of people with HIV/AIDS in the three surveyed newspapers is still limited, especially due to subjective reasons on the part of these three newspapers. This is the main reason for the numerous violations in the field of media coverage of people with HIV/AIDS that these three newspapers have encountered.
- Based on the analysis and survey of the current state of portrayal of people with HIV/AIDS in three newspapers, identify the successes and limitations in disseminating information about people with HIV/AIDS, and the challenges in communicating about people with HIV/AIDS…
- Propose solutions and recommendations to enhance the role of the press in promoting a positive image of people with HIV/AIDS.

- Have analyzed, compared and evaluated the current status of images of HIV/AIDS patients in the press of 3 newspapers in the survey. The analysis results show the strengths and weaknesses regarding the management of media messages of State management agencies and of the 3 newspapers in the survey about the images of HIV/AIDS patients in the press of the 3 newspapers in the survey.
- The presentation of images of HIV/AIDS patients in the press of the 3 newspapers in the survey is still fairly limited, especially from the subjective reasons of the 3 newspapers in the survey, which is the main cause of various violations in the field of image communication of HIV/AIDS patients committed by the 3 newspapers in the survey.
