Prof. Dr. Detlef Briesen

Professor Detlef Briesen is a German historian and social scientist who has taught and researched for many years at Justus Liebig University in Giessen. He received his PhD from the University of Cologne and his Habilitation degree from Siegen University.

His research focuses on contemporary history, cultural history, globalization, and urban development. He has extensive experience in academic collaboration in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and has approximately 100 publications in German, English, French, and Vietnamese.
