Professor Liangwen Kuo holds two PhDs: a PhD in Sociology from UCLA and a PhD in Communication from the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
He was formerly the Director of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at National Chiao Tung University and served as the Chairman of the China Media Association. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief of Emerging Media magazine and has managed several prominent journals indexed in the TSSCI.
His research focuses on online societies, digital humanities, and the social impact of new communication technologies. Professor Kuo is a leading expert in China in qualitative research and the development of the global media landscape.
