Attending the meeting, on the side of VNU, were Dr. Nguyen Trung Hien - Deputy Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, and on the side of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives of the leadership of faculties and functional units.
Representing Shandong University (China) were Ms. Chen Ling – Vice Head of the International Cooperation Department, Ms. Dong Muxi – Vice President of the Institute of Marxism, along with several faculty members, lecturers, and students from the University.
Representatives from Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities exchanged views on the working agenda.
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized the similarities between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Shandong University in their training and research orientations, especially in the fields of Philosophy, Archaeology, Heritage, and Cultural Studies. Besides basic sciences, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also a pioneer in training many highly applied disciplines: Journalism, Sociology, Tourism, Information Management, Management Science, Psychology, etc., contributing to meeting the development needs of society.
Over the years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has maintained close and regular cooperative relationships with many universities and research institutions in China. Each year, approximately 500 students from the University choose Chinese as their foreign language for graduation exams, with many expressing a desire to access the high-quality academic environment at leading Chinese universities, including Shandong University.
In that spirit, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is ready to welcome students from Shandong University to study, research, and gain practical experience in Vietnam, and at the same time, would like your university to accept students from USSH to study.
