General introduction

The Center for Foreign Languages ​​and Training Cooperation is a unit under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, established in 1997.

Specific functions and tasks

• Specialized foreign language training for full-time students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities
• Foreign language training (English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German...) at basic, advanced and specialized levels
• English training according to the 6-level competency framework for Vietnamese people (VSTEP)
• IELTS certificate test preparation
• Short-term soft skills and professional training in Vietnamese and English
• Study abroad admission

Training experience

- Since 1998, the Center has organized many foreign language courses (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean...) from basic to advanced and specialized; English according to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnamese people (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1) and English test preparation according to international standards (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC...) to meet the diverse needs of learners for agencies and businesses. The Center has organized hundreds of training courses for civil servants in Hanoi and the provinces. Some of the Center's major partners have trained such as the General Department of Tourism, Hanoi Customs Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Industry and Trade; Hanoi Electricity Company, Canon Company, Piagio Company, some companies of Samsung Group in Bac Ninh,... The courses have received high appreciation from partners and students for the quality of training.

- From 2004 to 2017, the Training Center organized exams and granted Foreign Language Certificates in Tourism (12 languages) to about 2,000 international tour guides in Hanoi and major cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Quang Ninh, Lang Son...
- From 2012 to present, the Center has coordinated to organize many training courses and exams to grant English language certificates A2, B1, B2, C1 for postgraduate students, researchers and civil servants.
- Since 2022, the Center has become the official authorized unit to receive exam registration documents and organize IELTS certificates of the British Council.
