On April 8, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a School Conference. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan chaired the Conference, attended by the Vice Chairman of the School Council, Vice Principals, Party Cell Secretaries, Heads of units, Chief Accountant, Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine and leaders of mass organizations.

Conference Overview
After listening to the opinions and discussions of the Vice Principals and delegates attending the Conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan concluded:
1. Party work:
Propose that the subcommittees serving the Congress organize meetings, urgently complete the preparation work, ensure that the Party Congress of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is organized successfully, creating a solid foundation for breakthroughs in the coming term.
2. Organization and personnel work:
- Prepare a plan to implement some tasks that have been suspended due to the implementation of Resolution 18 (phase 1); Continue the spirit of restructuring - streamlining, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency. In case it is really necessary to carry out key tasks and breakthroughs, the School will consider opening/establishing new units.
- Closely follow the implementation roadmap of the VNU Job Position Project to proactively develop the School's plan.
3. Admissions:
The Admissions Department is requested to focus highly, proactively adhere to current regulations, and integrate the School's educational philosophy and viewpoints into the Admissions Projects. If necessary, the Admissions Department proposes to establish support committees to serve the admissions work.
- Admission to High School for Social Sciences and Humanities: The Admissions Council reviews and calculates stages and processes such as making questions, grading exams, and selecting students, ensuring the viewpoint of in-depth training, with humanistic identity, and creating a source for university admissions.
- Full-time university admission: Ensure sufficient enrollment, balance between groups and admission methods to improve input quality, facilitate the training organization process. Assign the admissions department as the focal point, training units coordinate to provide information, send to the communication department to introduce and promote training majors (complete before April 20, 2025).

- Enrollment in VLVH, double degree, 2nd degree, short-term programs: Research and propose innovative solutions in a flexible and liberal direction with the goal of improving quantity and quality.
4. Training organization:
- Continue to promote the improvement of all training processes towards professionalism and efficiency, improve service quality, and ensure the spirit of taking learners as the center.
- Urgently complete and synchronize the postgraduate training management process in the second quarter of 2025; Continue to improve towards professionalism in the stages of defense, graduation, degree granting, and alumni work.
5. Technological training:
Monitor progress and ensure completion before August 30, 2025 for subjects implementing Video lectures (at least 06 subjects as planned); Identify and implement compulsory modules and teach in foreign languages ​​in Quarter 2/2025.
6. Adjusting the undergraduate training program:
Determine adjustments in a practical and effective direction, demonstrated through the following points:
- Specialization orientation: With the philosophy: focusing on expertise, majors do not necessarily have to be associated with departments, duration for majors is flexible and "not uniform", units balance industry quotas to open new/adjust training programs.
- Block M structure: Based on consulting other higher education institutions (domestic and foreign), calculating the number of courses taught in M2, M3, it is recommended that the units organize discussions, exchanges and agree to propose suitable majors and majors, grasping the educational trends of the times, having high social needs while still ensuring the core elements of the majors/majors.
- Strengthen training in digital skills, foreign language skills and entrepreneurial spirit for students:
+ Compulsory credits for foreign languages ​​in the field of social sciences and humanities: Clearly define compulsory courses for foreign languages; regulations on exemption conditions, tests, and exams; regulations on converting international certificates with certificates according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU. The communications department widely informs learners.
+ Compulsory credits for soft skills, digital competencies and compulsory credits for entrepreneurship: Evaluate and continue to implement, urgently develop video lectures.
7. Quality assurance work:
The Department of Quality Assurance proactively monitors and updates information from state agencies and the Ministry of Education and Training to promptly advise leaders on quality assurance plans and strategies in the coming time.
- Accreditation of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities: Assign Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong to be in charge and direct the High School to act as the focal point, the Department of Quality Control and Quality Assurance coordinates to complete the self-assessment report in May 2025, ensuring good quality, approved by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; Continue the roadmap to build the Autonomy Project for the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, striving to complete it in 2025, and start implementing autonomy from 2026.
8. Scientific and foreign affairs work:
- Scientific work: Firmly upholding the viewpoint of developing science in a balanced and harmonious manner between Academic - Applied, International - National - Local, in the coming time, scientific activities need to expand the search for external resources, especially with localities (Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Cao Bang) to increase financial resources, affirming the position of Humanity.
- Currently, some fields/sectors have been and are developing well and effectively, but many professional clusters have not yet exploited and utilized their strengths, have not yet connected and developed commensurate with available resources. It is recommended that the collective leadership of the units promote a sense of responsibility, proactively connect and support leading scientists/industries to carry out administrative procedures (if necessary).
- Strengthening the connection between science and development cooperation to increase cooperation in science and training.
- Foreign affairs: It is necessary to adjust the perception and action motto towards focus - substance - effectiveness for foreign affairs. The focus of foreign affairs in the coming period is to closely link with training and science in attracting experts and promoting international student recruitment.
9. University administration:
- Accelerate modernization and technology application in office work, documents and archives.
- Continue to develop a project to deploy university management software at the School, submit it to the Board of Directors for review and approval.
- Facilities: Continue to renovate facilities in 2025, towards synchronizing and optimizing the space and area of ​​the School, ensuring good operation in the next 15 years.
10. Financial work:
- Officials and employees complete personal income tax settlement according to regulations, the Finance and Planning Department guides and supports (if necessary).
- Amending internal spending regulations: Due to many new issues arising, it is necessary to flexibly implement the adjustments for the departments that have agreed upon them.
- Review and adjust expenditure items, clearly identifying tasks that must be performed according to regulations and overtime tasks, ensuring fairness and increasing revenue.
- Complete the technical innovation programs according to the roadmap. The communication department closely follows the roadmap to promptly inform and spread positive information to learners, paying attention to communicating about the new tuition collection method implemented from the 2024-2025 school year.
