In university admissions consulting programs, the main concerns of candidates revolve around: what does this major train? What are the job opportunities after graduation when studying that major? What is the income level after graduation? What are the benefits of studying this major? How is studying this major different from studying at the Faculty of Humanities and other universities? Do students get to do many internships? What are the scholarship opportunities at home and abroad for this major? What are the differences between standard systems, high-quality systems, double degrees...? Am I suitable to study this major?... Questions like the above account for more than 70% of the questions of students in admissions consulting sessions. This shows that candidates still have certain confusion when learning about the nature of the major and do not have enough practical experience in the profession to determine whether they really love and are suitable for that career or not.
Understanding and sympathizing with the above concerns, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has edited and published the handbook "Social Sciences and Humanities: 27 majors - careers and trends".
The book includes articles introducing basic to detailed information about 27 undergraduate training majors of the University based on the results of a survey of candidates' interests in the majors. Students can find in the articles information about typical subjects; special features in training; training philosophy and orientation; output standards of the majors, innovative teaching methods; career opportunities and skills to adapt to the labor market in the digital age; modules built according to the internationalization orientation; benefits enjoyed when becoming a student of the University...
The articles also help candidates understand the 75-year tradition of construction and development and the pioneering mission of the School in piloting new majors; the creative and innovative activities in management and organization of the School in recent times to improve training quality,...
Hopefully, the handbook will provide useful information for candidates in choosing a major and career; as well as inspire them to seek and pursue careers that match their strengths and passions.
