Attending the meeting and exchange were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities), along with the school's leadership, teachers, and staff. The purpose of the event was to share important information about the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as to answer the concerns and questions of parents and students, thereby enhancing the connection between the two sides and helping parents and students feel secure in supporting the school's educational endeavors.
At the beginning of the meeting, parents and students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities watched videos about the traditional song of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a video titled "Journey of Compassion" about the school's help for female student Tran Thi Hong Ngoc, who comes from a disadvantaged background, and a video titled "Accompanying Humanities students" during the Covid-19 pandemic. Parents and students gained a more complete understanding of the university's humanitarian spirit.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor Pham Quang Minh extended his greetings to all parents and students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities. The Rector shared his experiences of being associated with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities from his first year as a student to his teaching, work, and management career. This journey has fostered a sense of pride in a school with a rich tradition of 75 years and 25 years since its establishment, rooted in the former University of Hanoi. He emphasized that the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities will inherit all the best qualities and values from this university.

Professor Pham Quang Minh pledged that the Specialized High School would uphold the spirit of service and integration that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has pursued.
The Principal also shared the internationalization orientation of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities. The school has proposed and initiated cooperation with foreign partners such as the Goethe Institute, Concordia International School Hanoi, the Singapore Embassy, and Facebook to seek scholarship opportunities, short- and long-term courses, educational and cultural exchange programs, and knowledge dissemination training, aiming to benefit students with strong foreign language skills. With these efforts to integrate with the global education system, the Principal hopes the school will open up new horizons and become a foundation to help students soar on their future paths.

On behalf of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu disseminated information about subject classes, curriculum, facilities, extracurricular activities, timetables, and break times for students. He also emphasized that, in addition to academic education, the school also educates students in compassion, adaptability, and essential skills. He urged the students to maintain their pride and responsibility towards themselves, their parents, and their school; to foster a spirit of unity among classes and uphold the collective identity of a humanities school.

Following this, the leadership of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities clearly answered the parents' questions and received their feedback in a receptive manner. This exchange and discussion helped parents gain more confidence in entrusting their children to the school.

Following the meeting, the Principal of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities invited all parents to visit the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' Tradition Room, which houses and displays images, documents, and artifacts about the university. He also invited all students to a friendly lunch at the canteen in the BC connecting building.

The High School for Social Sciences and Humanities was established in 2019, becoming the first high school in Vietnam to train elite students in social sciences and humanities. Last July, the school completed its first entrance exam, and over 140 students were admitted. These students were selected for specialized classes in Literature, History, Geography, and the High-Quality Classes 1 & 2.
