The High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities is proud to inherit the finest values from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – a school with an 80-year tradition of building, developing, and training intellectuals for the country. From this distinctive university, many generations of scientists, educators, journalists, diplomats, administrators, and socio-cultural researchers have grown and made positive contributions to the nation's development.

In keeping with that tradition, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities is committed to discovering and nurturing students with abilities and a passion for the social sciences and humanities; while simultaneously fostering independent thinking, community responsibility, and aspirations for excellence. As a public educational institution within the national education system, the school recruits students from Hanoi and other provinces and cities nationwide through an entrance examination.

With the motto of motivating students, enhancing their creativity and independence for personal growth, the school focuses on providing a holistic education in knowledge, ethics, skills, aesthetics, and compassion. What sets the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities apart is its combination of in-depth training with enhanced foreign language skills, information technology, and scientific research. Programs such as Literature-English, History-English, and Geography-English create a modern training model suitable for the context of international integration.

Inheriting the academic excellence of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the school boasts a team of highly qualified, dedicated, and responsible teachers and scientists who always care deeply about their students. The teachers not only impart knowledge but also act as companions, inspiring students to ask questions, think deeply, express their opinions, and gradually develop their academic character.

Entering this school, the new 10th-grade students are not only starting a new level of education, but also joining a special learning community – where knowledge is valued, individual abilities are unleashed, passions are nurtured, and character is cultivated daily. There, they learn in a serious, disciplined, and academically rich environment, yet one filled with love and sharing.

Present at the enrollment day, Phan Thi Truc An from Hanoi couldn't hide her joy at officially becoming a student in the specialized Literature class at the school. Truc An shared that she had researched and felt that this was a good learning environment with many high achievements; in particular, the senior students were very enthusiastic in supporting the new students.

For Truc An, the Literature specialization class at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities is the aspiration she has set for herself throughout her studies. Although she was accepted into several other specialized schools, An decided to choose this school to spend the next three years.

"I hope that the next three years will be a time when I can experience many new things, broaden my knowledge, and strive to achieve high academic results," Truc An shared.

Those innocent words also reflect the shared belief of many new K7 students on their first day at their new school. Each student comes from a different school and has a different educational journey, but they all share the aspiration to learn, train, and grow in an environment rich in humanistic traditions.
