Specialized High School for Social Sciences and HumanitiesThe school is recruiting 170 students for grade 10, including 66 for the Literature specialization, 35 for the History specialization, 35 for the Geography specialization, and 34 for the high-quality program.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, this year the university recorded 1,579 candidates registering to take the entrance exam for the 10th grade at the specialized high school for Social Sciences and Humanities. To ensure the smooth organization of the exam, the university arranged 65 examination rooms at a single examination site, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The various aspects of exam supervision, security, and traffic management were organized very systematically, based on the principle of providing maximum support to candidates and parents. In particular, the school had a team of very enthusiastic and attentive volunteers who helped alleviate tension both inside and outside the examination site.

The 2023-2024 academic year marks the fourth year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has organized the entrance exam for the 10th grade specialized high school program in social sciences and humanities. The university is recruiting a total of 170 students (including specialized and high-quality classes). Candidates must take four written exams: Literature (90 minutes), Mathematics (50 minutes), English (45 minutes) (weighted 1), and a specialized subject (150 minutes) (Specialized Literature, Specialized History, Specialized Geography); the specialized subject is weighted 2.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, stated that the school always prioritizes entrance examinations to select the best students and train them to be elite. Therefore, the school decided to make English a compulsory examination subject.
“We consider Mathematics, Literature, and English as the spearhead of our education process, focusing on three main pillars: creative thinking education, language and foreign languages, and information technology. Our admissions process also aims to cultivate these core values,” Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu stated.
Candidates and parents are satisfied after the exam.
According to the admissions regulations, candidates included in the selection list are those who have taken all four exams and have not violated the exam regulations. The score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the score for the specialized subject must be 6.0 or higher. The school does not add priority points in the admissions process and does not offer direct admission.
For the high-quality class, candidates must meet the admission requirements, have participated in the 2023 entrance exam for specialized classes at the school but were not admitted to the specialized program, have a score of 4.0 or higher in each subject (including the specialized subject), and have registered for admission to the high-quality class according to the instructions.
The total admission score for the high-quality class is the sum of the scores in the three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and English. The school will announce the admission results for the high-quality class after the results of the specialized classes are announced.
The results of the entrance examination for specialized classes will be announced by the school before July 1st.
