High School for Social Sciences and Humanities170 10th grade students are recruited, including 66 Literature majors, 35 History majors, 35 Geography majors, and 34 high-quality students.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, this year the school recorded 1,579 candidates registering for the entrance exam to grade 10 of the Social Sciences and Humanities High School. To ensure the organization of the exam, the school arranged 65 exam rooms at one exam location, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The stages of exam supervision, security, traffic flow, etc. are organized very systematically based on the principle of maximum support for candidates and parents. In particular, the school has a team of enthusiastic and thoughtful volunteers who have contributed to dispelling the tension in the area inside and outside the exam site.
The road in front of the gate of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is divided into traffic routes to ensure no congestion.

The 2023-2024 school year is the fourth year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organizes the 10th grade exam for high school students specializing in social sciences and humanities. The school enrolls a total of 170 students (including specialized class quotas and high-quality class quotas). To participate in the exam, candidates must take 4 written tests including: Literature (90 minutes), Math (50 minutes), English (45 minutes) (coefficient 1) and specialized subjects, 150 minutes (specialized Literature, specialized History, specialized Geography); specialized subjects are calculated with coefficient 2.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Principal of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, said that the school always focuses on admission to select the best students and train the elite. Therefore, the school decided to make English a compulsory subject.
“We consider the three subjects of Math - Literature - English as the spearhead in the educational process, focusing on three main pillars: creative thinking education, language and foreign languages, and information technology. Admissions also aim at these core values,” Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu informed.
Candidates and parents satisfied after the exam
According to the admission regulations, candidates are included in the admission list if they have taken all four exams and have not violated the exam regulations. The exam score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the specialized subject score must be 6.0 or higher. The school does not add priority points in admission and does not consider direct admission.
For the high-quality class, candidates must meet the admission requirements, have taken the entrance exam for the school's specialized classes in 2023 but were not admitted to the specialized system, have an exam score of 4.0 or higher for each subject (including specialized subjects); and have registered for admission to the high-quality class according to the instructions.
The total score for admission to the high-quality class is the total score of the three subjects Literature, Math and English. The school will announce the results of admission to the high-quality class after announcing the results of admission to the specialized classes.
The results of the admission to specialized classes will be announced by the school before July 1.
