2022 is the first year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will implement postgraduate admissions through the form of examination and interview. Accordingly, the school will recruit students through the form of evaluating the application and interviewing candidates for all 44 master's training majors, replacing the traditional exam content, candidates must write essays on 2 basic and fundamental subjects, each subject lasting 180 minutes as before.According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal): "The content of the profile assessment aims to cover an overview of the candidate's academic ability, work experience as well as scientific research ability. The interview content includes questions focusing on assessing the professional knowledge of each major, along with the candidate's practical knowledge and experience in handling problems during the candidate's work, thereby directly and more accurately assessing the candidate's suitability and ability to respond to the training program". This is also the admission method applied by leading universities in the world.
