Teachers and students of the University of Sciences and Humanities are proud of their humanistic and academic traditions and strive to affirm their leading position in higher education.

Attending the Opening Ceremony with teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc (Head of Training Department), representatives of leaders of functional departments, institutes, centers and member schools of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu (former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department); Prof. Dr. Dang Ung Van (Head of the External Evaluation Team of the Ministry of Education and Training); representatives of embassies, agencies, enterprises, central and Hanoi newspapers and radio stations which are close partners of the University; and a large number of alumni. The Opening Ceremony is also a festival for the entire Board of Directors, staff, lecturers and nearly 2,000 students, trainees and postgraduates of the University.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Principal of the School) emotionally shared: "This year, the opening ceremony has a more special meaning because the School has completed many key tasks: completing the second cycle of the School's quality assessment program, successfully consolidating the organizational structure and harmoniously arranging the staff work; basically completing the renovation of facilities; exceeding the excellent enrollment plan for all three bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs... And, above all: nearly 10,000 staff, students and pupils of the School have overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, despite hardship - but safely in two difficult school years of the entire education sector,... Those great efforts and positive results are proof of a Humanities that has, is and will continue to strongly transform, affirming the position of a leading university in the country: modern and integrated on the academic and humanistic foundation.!"

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan also emphasized: "The current opportunity for social sciences and humanities to change and make a breakthrough may not be there for too long; it may pass quickly if we do not take advantage of it. Therefore, I call on all teachers and staff of the School to continue to strongly innovate methods, update scientific knowledge, open up new research and training directions that are both specialized and interdisciplinary, inter- and cross-field to improve the quality of research, training, and community service, contributing to the continued development of the School. Only when we dare to embark on the path of innovation and integration, can we welcome the dawn of Humanities on the background of a very new and very different university education system! The current generation of Gen Z students really needs a comprehensive skill system (Skills), positive thinking (Attitude) and above all, a Habit of Success (Habit of Success)!". Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan also believes that: With good traditions, philosophy, position and current resources, teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will certainly continue to reap success in the upcoming journey.

During the Opening Ceremony, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was honored to receive the Certificate of Educational Quality Assessment from the Center for Educational Quality Assessment of the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, presented by Prof. Dr. Dang Ung Van. The accreditation certificate is a testament to the achievements in all aspects of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities over the past 5 years (2017-2022), and is also the University's commitment to continuously improve the quality of education and training.

Attending the Opening Ceremony with teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc congratulated the achievements that the University has achieved in the past school year with many difficulties and challenges. The achievements of the University in training, scientific research, quality assurance and especially community service projects and volunteer activities have had a great resonance, are highly appreciated by society and play a very important role in the overall achievements of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc also believes that: with the solidarity of the Board of Directors, the outstanding efforts of all staff, lecturers, students, and trainees, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will certainly achieve great success in the coming period, always maintaining its position as one of the leading centers in the country in the field of social sciences and humanities, reaching out to the region and the world.

These successes are the result of the consensus and determination of the Board of Directors, the initiative, creativity and dedication of the staff and lecturers; the perseverance of students and trainees in overcoming difficulties to ensure their study progress, graduate on time and soon stabilize their jobs; the companionship of generations of alumni of the University of General Sciences and Humanities and partners, philanthropists who have joined hands to support both materially and spiritually so that the students of the University can study with peace of mind during the pandemic. Today, on the great joy day of the University, distinguished guests representing the leaders of a number of agencies and enterprises also came to share the joy and present valuable scholarships to students.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony, the School also announced the decision to reward the valedictorians of the K67 course and students with achievements in training and studying.

The Opening Ceremony is also a festival for students of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, students, especially new students of K67 who have just enrolled in the school - Humanities talents, to show their dynamism, youthfulness, modernity, and creativity with artistic performances, martial arts performances, sports competitions,... jubilant, vibrant, and enthusiastic.
