Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University) beats the drum to officially open the new academic year 2022-2023.
The 2021-2022 academic year concluded amidst numerous difficulties and challenges, particularly the Covid-19 pandemic which disrupted all aspects of society. However, overcoming these obstacles, the faculty and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities achieved significant success in all areas: education, scientific research, and community service.
As shared by Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan (the School Principal): “The opening ceremony holds special significance because the School has completed many key tasks: completing the second cycle of the School's quality assessment program, successfully consolidating the organizational structure and harmonizing personnel work; fundamentally completing the renovation of facilities; exceeding the enrollment plan excellently in all three undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs… And, above all: nearly 10,000 staff, students, and pupils of the School have overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the hardships - but safely during two challenging academic years for the entire education sector: teachers have been proactive, flexible, and dedicated in online and in-person teaching activities; School staff have continued to increase scientific research achievements, while actively participating in free psychological counseling and social support activities for the community; students have persevered through difficulties to ensure their academic progress, graduating on time and settling down soon.” Job placement assistance; generations of alumni from the University of Humanities and Social Sciences, along with partners and benefactors, have joined hands to provide both material and spiritual support to ensure that students can study with peace of mind throughout the pandemic; the University has been commended by the Ministry of Education and Training for its outstanding achievements in online teaching and learning, ensuring the safety of staff and students… These wonderful efforts and positive results are proof that the University of Humanities has been, is, and will continue to strongly transform itself, affirming its position as a leading higher education institution in the country: modern and integrated on an academic and humanistic foundation!”
