VNU-USSH collaborates in building a standardized and modern document management and archiving system in Military Region IV.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; leaders of Military Region IV; representatives from the Office of the Ministry of National Defense, the Office of Military Region IV, the Military Command of Nghe An province, along with lecturers and students.

The training course was organized to update and enhance the professional knowledge, skills, and advisory abilities of staff working in document management, security, and archiving; and to contribute to unifying the understanding, methods, and procedures for document management and archiving within the armed forces of Military Region IV. The program is particularly relevant in the context of implementing the two-tiered local government model and consolidating the commune-level Military Command Boards according to the new model.
According to the plan, the training program will be organized in two phases, from September 7-20, 2026, at Regiment 764, Nghe An Provincial Military Command, with a total of 304 officers participating.
In his opening remarks, Major General Ngo Nam Cuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region IV, affirmed the important role of document management and archiving in leadership, command, and operational activities. He also emphasized the need to improve professional capacity, apply information technology, and ensure security and confidentiality for document management and archiving personnel in the context of the Army's accelerated administrative reform and digital transformation. He urged the trainees to demonstrate a sense of responsibility, study diligently, and actively exchange ideas to effectively apply the acquired knowledge to their practical work.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized that, as a leading training and research center in the country in the field of social sciences and humanities, the University not only fulfills its mission of training high-quality human resources and conducting scientific research but also places special emphasis on knowledge transfer, serving the community, and applying research achievements and specialized knowledge to solve the practical needs of agencies, organizations, and society.

With a tradition of in-depth training and research in the fields of archival studies and office management, the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, has actively implemented training, professional development, and consulting programs for many agencies, organizations, ministries, and localities over the years. These programs are built on a foundation that combines scientific principles, current legal regulations, and the practical requirements of each target group and each agency/unit.
The fact that the School has been entrusted by the Ministry of National Defence to coordinate the series of professional training courses on document management and archiving for officers and staff in the Army not only demonstrates the prestige and professional capacity of the School and the Faculty, but also serves as vivid evidence of the orientation towards linking research and training with knowledge transfer and community service.
