The training course "Document Management and Archiving (with internship)" commenced on June 22, 2026, under the auspices of the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the Vinacomin Business Administration School. It attracted 50 participants, including officials and employees from member units of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group.

On the morning of June 22, 2026, at the 452nd Artillery Regiment, Hanoi Capital Command, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (specifically the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management) collaborated with the Hanoi Capital Command to hold the opening ceremony for a training course on document management and archiving for document and archiving staff of the commune and ward-level Military Commands. This is the first of 15 training courses to be implemented throughout the army according to the plan of the Ministry of National Defense from now until the end of September 2026.

Alongside efforts to address the consequences of war, the transfer and decoding of this data is contributing to the realization of practical humanitarian actions. (GDVN) Contrary to the traditional image many people have, the field of Archival Studies is opening up many new career opportunities in the field of information and digital data management.

In the context of the increasingly deep and broad development of Vietnam-US relations in many fields, especially education, research, and academic exchange, archival documents and materials not only hold historical value but also serve as a bridge of knowledge, contributing to promoting dialogue, understanding, and sustainable international cooperation.

On May 14th and 19th, 2026, the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with Viettel Customer Service Company, successfully organized a training course on "Organizing and Digitizing Archival Documents" for personnel directly involved in organizing, digitizing, and managing archival documents at enterprises. This was the second training course that Viettel Customer Service Company entrusted to the Department to organize in collaboration with them, demonstrating the practical effectiveness of the training program and the recognition by businesses of the Department's capacity to train and transfer specialized knowledge in the field of archiving.

The course, organized by the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is for staff and employees working in administration, office management, and document archiving at the Hanoi Transport Corporation, and will be held on April 21-22, 2026.

This is the objective of the training course "Administrative and Office Management Skills and Archival and Document Management Skills" for administrative staff, launched by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi on April 23, 2026.

Within the framework of the cooperation and academic exchange program between Aix-Marseille University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, under the auspices of the European Commission through the Erasmus+ scholarship program, a delegation from the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management held working sessions with key partners in the Republic of France. These exchanges not only strengthened traditional cooperative relations but also opened up many practical directions for collaboration in training, scientific research, and the development of professional projects in the future.

As part of the USSH Open Day 2026 program, on March 26, 2026, the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, organized a talk show: “From the Classroom to the Enterprise: A Journey to Building a Career” for final-year students of the Faculty – those who are standing at an important crossroads in their lives.

On March 20, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (specifically the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management) organized a scientific seminar with the theme: “The responsibility of the Archival sector in building the national data infrastructure – Goals and directions for implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party”.

On March 6, 2026, as part of the course "Communication in Archival Studies," the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a field trip for students of classes K68 and K69 majoring in Archival Studies to visit and experience activities at the exhibition space "Viewing Royal Annotations - Preserving the Mark of Woodblock Prints." The visiting group was led by Mr. Nguyen Trung Duc, M.Sc., Lecturer of the Faculty, in charge of teaching the course.

From January 7th to January 17th, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (specifically the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management) collaborated with Viettel Customer Service Company to organize a training course on "Architectural Document Arrangement and Digitization" to equip and update personnel directly involved in managing, exploiting, and conducting archival services with systematic knowledge and skills.
