Strengthening cooperation between the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Quy Nhon University)

This is the content affirmed at the working session between the two units on August 4, 2025 at Quy Nhon University.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged many opportunities for cooperation in training and research. Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities proposed a number of opportunities for cooperation in training, scientific research, and publishing activities, such as: Connecting learning materials and reference materials; consulting to adjust and perfect the training programs of the two Faculties; implementing credit exchange programs for students.
Regarding scientific research activities, the two sides discussed establishing a joint research group in line with the government's orientations and policies (OCOP, Community Tourism, Cultural Industry, etc.); online exchange of student scientific research; building an academic network between faculties, departments, lecturers and students of the two schools.
Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of Oriental Studies Department expressed his wish that the two units would increase sharing of training programs and jointly develop human resources following the trend of technology integration.
The Faculty of Oriental Studies is one of the key units, gathering a team of experienced lecturers, with strengths in research and teaching in regions such as Japan, China, Korea, India, Central Asia. Annual activities such as "Thailand Festival", "Japan Festival", "Persian Festival" or "Oriental Film Week" have contributed to creating a dynamic academic environment, closely linked to practice and culture.
The Faculty of Oriental Studies will create conditions to expand opportunities for students of both schools to participate in internships, summer camps, and academic exchanges in China.
Dr. Nguyen Doan Thuan - Head of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Quy Nhon University spoke at the meeting.
Dr. Nguyen Doan Thuan - Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Quy Nhon University, emphasized the desire for the two sides to become long-term academic partners, sharing experiences in building and developing training programs, especially in the fields of strength at USSH. At the same time, he also proposed building a specific roadmap for the cognitive internship program, helping students of the two schools have the opportunity to exchange and study in practice.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa - Head of the Department of Chinese Studies expressed her desire to expand opportunities for students of the two schools to participate in international exchange activities.
Dr. Le Thi Thu Giang - Director of King Sejong Center 1 (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) shares about organizing inter-school student seminars
In order to realize the exchange contents, the two sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future. This document will be an important basis for exchange activities, student exchanges, seminars, discussions and research cooperation between the two units to take place systematically, continuously and in depth.
The cooperative relationship between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Quy Nhon University is not only a connection between two major training units of the two regions of the country, but also a testament to the spirit of open, creative academics and towards sustainable development.
