The conference was honored to have the participation of many prestigious speakers in the field such as: Ms. Janine Schmidt, former Director of Trenholme Library, McGill University (Canada); Ms. Margaret Law, Deputy Director of the University of Alberta Library (Canada); Associate Professor, Dr. Do Van Hung, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU; Associate Professor, Dr. Songphan Choemprayong, Chulalongkorn University (Thailand); Dr. Espéran Padonou, Executive Director of the Vallet Foundation (France), and many domestic and foreign experts.

With the theme of information science, digital libraries, open science, electronic publishing and user services in the digital age, ICLISSP2025 is an interdisciplinary forum to share research results, practical experiences and discuss innovation trends in the field of libraries and academic publishing. Speaking at the opening session, Prof. Tran Thanh Van emphasized the important role and significance of this Conference, and hoped to organize the ICLISSP Conference annually to connect international scholars and researchers in the field of libraries and publishing with experts and researchers in Vietnam, serving as a bridge to put this field of Vietnam on the world map.
The ICLISSP2025 conference was attended by many prestigious scientists from home and abroad.
The conference program includes many outstanding activities such as: two thematic seminars on international integration for Vietnamese scientific journals and AI applications in library work; plenary reports on the new role of libraries in digital transformation; six parallel discussion sessions on digital technology, open learning materials, adaptive leadership, scholarly communication and new publishing models.
At the Conference, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU actively participated in the following activities: participating in the organizing committee of the conference, being the main speaker of the plenary session, participating in the discussion of thematic sessions, especially implementing a 1-day training course on "AI in action for librarians: Tools, skills and strategic applications" for librarians and researchers, providing core knowledge and skills to help librarians grasp and apply AI in their work. The content includes: AI trends and challenges in the library field; skills in working with AI and building support chatbots; analyzing user needs and developing information resources; processing, digitizing documents and creating media content; along with exploiting open educational resources (OER) and solving ethical and copyright issues in the digital age.

The conference is an important interdisciplinary academic forum where domestic and foreign scientists and experts can publish research results, exchange practical experiences, discuss new trends and challenges. Thereby, propose feasible solutions to build an honest and sustainable library and academic publishing ecosystem in the world.
ICLISSP2025 is an opportunity for universities, libraries and publishing units in Vietnam to approach global trends, an important stepping stone to improve the quality of scientific journals, towards international standards such as ISI, Scopus.
At the same time, create conditions for young researchers, graduate students and domestic policy makers to seek opportunities for cooperation, learning and career development in the field of libraries and academic publishing.
