Also attending the meeting were Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, Ms. Pham Cham Anh - Deputy Head of the Scientific Research Department; Dr. Pham Hoang Giang - Head of the Philosophy Department, Mr. Tieu Le Giang - Standing Deputy Head of Research and Training, lecturer in political and ideological education theory at universities and colleges nationwide, Guangxi University, China, and representatives from functional departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Rector Hoang Anh Tuan shared insights into the process and highly appreciated the achievements of the cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Guangxi University, China.
In his opening remarks, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan gave a general overview of the history, strengths, and training programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, while emphasizing that the University has been effectively implementing student and faculty exchange programs and organizing international scientific conferences with many universities and research and training institutions around the world. Among these, China is one of the important partners in training and scientific research development for the University.
In recent years, the University has established cooperative relationships with 60 universities and research institutes in China and is a reputable training institution trusted by students, trainees, and researchers from China. Currently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has approximately 200 Chinese students studying in the Departments of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, Linguistics, Literature, and Sociology. In particular, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities attracts many Chinese students and researchers to participate in master's and doctoral programs. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized that with the similar position and vision of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Guangxi University, along with geographical advantages, there will be favorable opportunities and conditions for both sides to promote academic exchange and student and faculty exchange between the two institutions.
Dr. Pham Hoang Giang - Head of the Philosophy Department, shared more about the history and training program of the Philosophy Department at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: With the educational philosophy: "Putting the learner at the center, taking the quality of training as the main goal," the Philosophy Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities aims to focus on building new and rebuilding some specialized courses in Marxist-Leninist philosophy, history of philosophy, and Eastern and Western religious studies to achieve an advanced level in the region, based on reference to international training programs.
Currently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has over 70 highly qualified faculty members (Professors, Associate Professors, Doctors, and Masters) in Philosophy. Annually, the faculty trains approximately 14,000 students across the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in political theory courses. The Faculty has also successfully organized numerous conferences in collaboration with other universities in the same field, and published many influential and academically valuable scientific publications, including the conference "LEARNING AND TEACHING MARXIST-LENINIST PHILOSOPHY IN THE CURRENT CONTEXT," held at the end of 2022.

Professor Tu Tan Phap, Director of the Institute of Marxist Studies at Guangxi University, expressed his expectations for cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Guangxi University.
Speaking at the meeting, Professor Tu Tan Phap, Director of the Institute of Marxist Studies at Guangxi University, highly appreciated the achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in general and its Philosophy department in particular. Based on this, Professor Tu Tan Phap expressed confidence that the collaborative conference between the two institutions would yield many promising results. The conference will delve into discussions and exchanges on the difficulties and strengths in Philosophy education, aiming to improve and refine the teaching and learning programs of both institutions. The conference will be attended by many reputable institutions, research institutes, and publishers, and the research papers will be published bilingually in Vietnamese and Chinese to broaden access to Vietnamese and Chinese readers.
Concluding the working session, Professor Tu Tan Phap emphasized the importance of promoting the development of philosophy education in both countries, while also aiming to create more opportunities for student exchanges between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Guangxi University in the future.
