The conference is co-organized annually by the two universities. Previously, three annual conferences were held to discuss, share experiences, and cooperate on university governance, training, research, international cooperation, quality assurance, communications, and business relations.
In the 2022-2023 school year, the two schools have coordinated to organize many cooperation activities in training and research, such as the national scientific conference "Basic science - the role and development orientation in training and scientific research", the school-level scientific conference "Teaching and learning Marxist-Leninist philosophy in the current context"; organizing experience sharing in building and developing difficult-to-recruit majors, building integrated and modern training programs, increasing the graduation rate of students. Between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and the University of Social Sciences and Vietnam, VNU-HCM, the two schools have developed criteria for credit recognition; developed exchange programs for lecturers, students, trainees, and interns; promoted international scientific publications, scientific research of learners; coordinated to develop the project "Attracting foreign experts, high-quality human resources"; Exchange and share experiences on digital transformation in university administration; exchange data on basic science training...
According to Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, the Conference is an opportunity for the two schools to position themselves in the context of many changes in Vietnam's higher education, thoroughly analyze the shifting trends, changes in social sciences and humanities training in the current context, the future context with the strong development of technology, educational technology... At the conference, the two schools presented papers on building training programs according to technical and economic standards, digital transformation experience, experience in building support policies for staff meeting the standards for professor and associate professor titles, etc.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City are two leading training and research centers in the field of social sciences and humanities in the country, with a long tradition and outstanding contributions to the cause of protecting, building, developing and integrating Vietnam. From these two schools, many generations of teachers and students who are scientists, pedagogues, managers, politicians, artists, businessmen for the country... have had many great achievements for the development of the country and left important milestones on the world science map in the field of social sciences and humanities.
