Rector Hoang Anh Tuan shared: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH, VNU Hanoi) is a university with a long tradition of international collaboration and cooperation. The university places great emphasis on creating opportunities for students, researchers, and lecturers to seek scholarships both domestically and internationally, using this as a foundation to improve the quality of teaching, enhance the professional skills of the staff, and elevate the research of USSH to an international level. Building on the success of previous years, this meeting will be an opportunity to exchange, enhance understanding, share experiences, and strengthen cooperation with the Sumitomo Foundation.
The Sumitomo Foundation is a non-profit organization established on September 25, 1991, by 20 companies belonging to the Sumitomo Group to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Besshi Copper Mine in Shikoku, Japan. With the desire and goal of changing and improving human society towards a better future, the Sumitomo Foundation seeks community support to fund projects with potential and solutions to persistent societal problems.

During the meeting, Mr. Kenichi Hayama, representing the Sumitomo Foundation, shared more in-depth information about the Foundation's purpose, significance, funding methods, and innovations over the past year. He expressed his hope that the Foundation would have the opportunity to support promising research and projects by faculty members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
