On the afternoon of September 16, 2025, in Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) welcomed and worked with the delegation of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), led by Prof. Dr. Andrei Loginov (Rector).
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Andrei Loginov introduced the outstanding strengths of RSUH. With a long history and more than 262 training programs, RSUH is known for its leading position in the social sciences and humanities, such as: History and Theory of Art, Linguistics and Translation, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, International Relations, Political Science, Archival Science and Information Science.
With goodwill and trust in the cooperative relationship, the RSUH representative expressed the wish that both sides would jointly build exchange programs for students, lecturers and researchers, aiming to improve the quality of training and the effectiveness of scientific activities. In particular, RSUH proposed to promote in-depth cooperation in the fields of Vietnamese language training, history and culture in Russia.
On the side of VNU-USSH, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Principal of the School, affirmed that the two schools have many similarities in training fields, philosophy and development goals. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized that VNU-USSH is proud to be the core and pioneer in the journey of spreading the beauty and vitality of Vietnamese language and culture abroad. Therefore, the School wishes to welcome Russian students to study and experience in Vietnam through exchange programs and Vietnamese language teaching programs for foreigners (both short-term and long-term), and is ready to cooperate in developing the Vietnamese Studies major at the Russian State University for the Humanities.
With high consensus, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding, officially starting a comprehensive academic cooperation period. This agreement is not only a legal basis for future cooperation activities, but also a strong commitment for VNU-USSH and RSUH to enhance academic and cultural exchanges, contributing to expanding and promoting the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Russia.
