Speaking at the reception, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan warmly welcomed the KUVA ARTS CENTER delegation to the University, and affirmed: “As a leading institution in Vietnam in training and research in the social sciences and humanities in an academic, in-depth, interdisciplinary, and sustainable manner, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is always ready and eager to expand cooperation with academic organizations worldwide to cultivate and spread the cultural values of the nation and connect the best of world culture with Vietnam.”
Thanking the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the warm welcome extended to the delegation, Mr. Lee Kwang Chun (Director of KUVA Arts Center) gave a brief overview of KUVA and proposed areas of cooperation. KUVA Arts Center is a reputable cultural organization in Korea, a member of the Picasso Foundation headquartered in Spain, and has organized numerous exhibitions and displays showcasing masterpieces by the renowned painter Picasso in Korea and several other countries worldwide. Through collaborations with artists, cultural and academic organizations, galleries, museums, and art exhibitions, the organization aims to promote international exchange and cooperation in culture and art.
Mr. Lee Kwang Chun emphasized: “We are not only exhibiting artworks for art professionals and artists, but also spreading stories about history, culture, traditional art, and the humanistic values within each artwork. In particular, we want to share the story of the meeting between the genius painter Picasso and President Ho Chi Minh, and the painter's admiration for the heroic struggle of the Vietnamese people. Therefore, we are very eager to cooperate with prestigious universities in Vietnam, such as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, to jointly spread these invaluable historical and cultural values.”

Representatives from KUVA ARTS CENTER also shared information about plans to organize a large-scale international art exhibition in Vietnam in Q3 2026 and proposed that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities be the scientific sponsor in organizing the event and also preside over the organization of scientific workshops and seminars around the exhibition's theme.
The two sides discussed and agreed on several basic areas of cooperation, including: organizing an exhibition of printed works by the renowned painter Picasso right on the campus of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; organizing international art exhibitions in Vietnam; and organizing scientific seminars and forums to connect reputable experts and scientists from Vietnam and abroad to exchange ideas on topics of mutual interest.
Representatives from both sides agreed to sign the cooperation agreement soon and to implement the cooperation agreements in the near future.
