Affirming the leading position of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in journalism and communication training.
As a co-organizer of the forum, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, continues to expand the connection between training activities and journalistic practice. Through collaboration with the Vietnam Journalists Association, agencies of the National Assembly, and numerous media outlets, the University creates more opportunities for lecturers and students to directly access current affairs, policies, and professional journalistic activities.
During the forum's organization, the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training participated in content development and coordinated professional activities. More than just an academic event, the forum provided a practical learning environment where students could listen to leaders, National Assembly representatives, journalists, and experts discuss the role of journalism in reflecting life, communicating policies, and connecting the State with the people.
This is also an opportunity for students to access practical issues in parliamentary journalism, from news reporting skills and policy analysis to the requirements for journalistic innovation in the context of digital transformation.
The discussions in the "Voice of Dien Hong" section clarified the special relationship between the National Assembly and the press. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Vinh - former President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - shared his experiences from working in both spaces: the parliamentary chamber and the newsroom. Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Le Thu Ha clarified the role of parliamentary media in enhancing Vietnam's image. Professional Dialogue: From the Ideals of Journalism to Social Responsibility
One of the highlights of the forum was the dialogue session "Igniting the Flame - The Creative Mission of Young Writers," moderated by Dr. Phan Van Kien, Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training. This session connected journalists, National Assembly representatives, and journalism students through professional stories and discussions on the challenges facing journalism in the new context.

Dr. Phan Van Kien, Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, moderated the dialogue session.
Opening the discussion, Dr. Phan Van Kien posed the question: "Why did I choose journalism as a profession?". From this question, the dialogue unfolded around three overarching themes: the purpose of journalism, how to practice journalism, and who one is journalism for. These were also the topics addressed by the speakers from various perspectives, linked to professional responsibility, journalistic ethics, and the role of journalists in the context of digital transformation, the development of artificial intelligence, and social media.
Participating in the dialogue, journalists Le Quoc Trung, Ha Minh Hue, Ho Quang Loi, along with National Assembly delegates, shared many practical experiences on professional ideals, civic responsibility, and the requirement to maintain the integrity and objectivity of journalism in the face of changes in the media environment.

In the context of journalism undergoing a dramatic transformation under the impact of digital technology, artificial intelligence, and new media platforms, the demands on journalists are expanding, encompassing not only operational skills but also the capacity for policy analysis, critical thinking, professional ethics, and social responsibility. These issues were also raised throughout the forum's discussions.
Besides attending the forum's discussion sessions, lecturers and students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also had the opportunity to visit and experience some special spaces at the National Assembly building, such as the Vietnam National Assembly Museum, the National Assembly Press Center, the Dien Hong Hall, and the thematic exhibition area on the National Assembly and Vietnamese journalism.
This activity helps students gain a more visual understanding of the workings of the National Assembly, the process of parliamentary journalism, and the relationship between journalism and legislative activity.
