The documentary film “Vietnam 1954 - Glory and Tears” directed by a group of lecturers and former students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities won the highest prize - A Prize at the 19th National Press Awards Ceremony - 2024 held on the evening of June 21, 2025 in Hanoi.

On June 12, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi will organize the forum "Connecting Technology and Innovation in Vietnam Journalism and Media 2025" with the theme: "The Power of AI for Young Media Workers".

The opportunities and challenges of the journalism industry in the face of the explosion of artificial intelligence were discussed in many ways at the seminar "Who are journalists? Where is journalism going when AI is increasingly good at creating content?". The seminar took place on the morning of April 8 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) attracting more than 300 experts, journalists, researchers, lecturers and students to attend. The event was jointly organized by the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, the Digital Cafe Club (CFS), the Institute for Policy Studies and Media Development (IPS) and VietTimes Magazine.

Like any other honest work, the work of journalists has created valuable information products for social life. The diligence and seriousness of the team of journalists has contributed to creating a journalism with vivid practices, increasingly moving towards "professionalism, humanity and modernity".
