At the forum, scientists and researchers provided analysis, assessments, comments and solutions for research and training in Vietnam Studies. Professor, Dr. Vu Minh Giang, Chairman of the Science and Training Council of Hanoi National University, said that research on Vietnam under the approach of each specialized science has been carried out both domestically and internationally for many centuries, but research as an interdisciplinary science based on new theories and methods has only really developed strongly in the last half century.

Attending online from Russia, Professor, Doctor of Science Vladimir Kolotov shared about the activities of the Ho Chi Minh Institute of St. Petersburg State University. Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh Institute is the first and only unit outside of Vietnam to be established at St. Petersburg State University. Over the past 11 years, the Ho Chi Minh Institute has operated according to the axis concept in 7 main areas: People's diplomacy, scientific research, analysis, appraisal, consulting, culture, education, and economics.
