Vu Thi Huyen Trang was born into a not-so-well-off family in Tam Duong district, Vinh Phuc province. From a young age, Trang was always conscious of the importance of studying. However, outside of school hours, she rarely attended extra classes, instead dedicating her time to helping her parents. Trang shared that she studied for 2-3 hours each evening, focusing on only one subject to maximize concentration and knowledge absorption. In class, her teachers noted her aptitude for history and geography. When she learned she was the top-scoring student in the entrance exam with grades of 8.25 in Literature, 9.75 in History, and 9.75 in Geography, Trang was overjoyed and surprised. She called her parents and teachers, receiving congratulations from everyone. After all her hard work and effort, this result was a well-deserved reward.

Valedictorian Vu Thi Huyen Trang
Sharing her reasons for choosing Psychology, Trang said that she had previously interacted with children with autism and realized that as society becomes more modern, people are more vulnerable to mental illnesses. Many neurological or mental illnesses cause dangerous consequences for individuals and create a burden for the community. Her dream of becoming a psychologist to contribute to the treatment of these patients was sparked by these experiences. Trang decided to choose the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, as her place of study and to accumulate knowledge on her path to fulfilling her dream.
Trang shared that the name of the university, with its two words "Humanities," was incredibly beautiful and impressed her greatly. Therefore, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was almost her only choice when she applied for university.
Wishing Huyen Trang continued effort and determination to fulfill her dream of becoming a psychologist – a profession deeply rooted in humanistic values. May you have the most wonderful student years with your teachers and friends at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
