Thanh shared: “If I had to use one word to describe Psychology, I would use the word 'Love'! My dream of pursuing Psychology has been with me for a long time, perhaps since my early days in middle school. I found it really difficult to grasp the issues of human mental and psychological life, but I wanted to challenge myself. Since then, I started researching and learned about the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Although my parents wanted me to pursue easier and more stable paths, I was determined to fulfill my dream.”

Speaking about her plans for her four years of university, Thanh said: "Currently, I'm taking a TOEIC course and will try to take the exam soon. I also want to learn French. For me, foreign languages are very important; they can help me access specialized foreign materials so I can expand my knowledge and understanding. The university environment is very different from high school, and there will be many difficulties and challenges, but I am confident that I can achieve good results if I try hard."

Thanh is also a dynamic student, currently an administrator for a page on Applied Psychology and a member of the Hanoi Human Resources Club (HN HRC). She believes that participating in clubs and group activities helps her improve and hone soft skills such as communication and teamwork skills, which will be beneficial for her future career. After graduation, she wants to challenge herself in a corporate environment and delve deeper into Business Administration Psychology.

Perhaps homesickness is not unique to students studying at universities in Hanoi, and it's the same for Thanh. "The person who has influenced me the most is my mother," Phương Thanh shared. "My mother has always supported all my decisions. When I stumble or fail, she's always there to comfort and lift me up. Honestly, when I'm studying far from home, I really miss my mother, my hometown, and my family, but she always encourages and motivates me to continue studying during these first days."

Thanh also added that the friendliness of her friends and teachers at school helped her feel less overwhelmed and less stressed. Thanh eagerly looks forward to her happy and meaningful university years at the Faculty of Humanities.
