
Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University) presented the decision to establish the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training.
The ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky (Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Director General of the Voice of Vietnam), journalist Le Quoc Minh (Deputy Director General of the Vietnam News Agency), journalist Ho Quang Loi (Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association), Dr. Pham Tat Thang (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine), journalist Vu Dinh Thuong (Director of the Press Department, Central Propaganda Department), and representatives from many leading Vietnamese media organizations. Representing the University was Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University).
The Institute of Journalism and Communication Training was established by integrating the Faculty of Journalism and Communication and the Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Training. It is the first model in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to develop from a faculty level to an institute level in line with the university's autonomy orientation. Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong serves as the Institute Director.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University - highly appreciated the continuous efforts of innovation and creativity of the Institute's faculty, staff, and employees. The Professor also emphasized that, in the face of the challenges and opportunities of the digital age and mass media, the Institute needs to constantly strive to achieve rapid and in-depth development in response to changes in social life, contributing to the overall development of the country.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim presented the appointment decision for the Deputy Director of the Institute to Dr. Nguyen Son Minh.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training) stated that the Institute's strategic goal is to further improve the content and methods of training, expand the types and diversify the training products to achieve regional and international quality standards.

Paying tribute to generations of leaders.

Paying tribute to veteran teachers.
The Institute currently has four departments: Journalism, Multimedia Communication, PR - Advertising, and Media Management. Currently, in addition to its two undergraduate programs in Journalism and Public Relations, the Institute offers three Master's programs: a Research-Oriented Master of Journalism, an Applied-Oriented Master of Journalism, and an international joint Master's program in Media Management (with the University of Stirling, UK), along with one Doctoral program in Journalism.

Awarding prizes to the top-performing students.
In the upcoming academic year, the Institute will offer a high-quality Bachelor's degree program in Journalism, and two new Master's programs: a Master's program in Journalism Management and Media Administration, and a Master's program in Journalism and Media Economics (in collaboration with the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Awarding prizes to students with excellent academic achievements.
Professor Ha Minh Duc (former head of the Journalism Department, Hanoi University) sent a message to the students: "I hope you will pay attention to being confident, but not arrogant; being self-reliant - not dependent on others; having self-respect - maintaining moral character; and being self-aware - knowing how to control your own perceptions."

Awards were presented to students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies.
Also at the ceremony, media outlets, organizations, businesses, and sponsors awarded many valuable scholarships to top-performing students, students from previous years with outstanding achievements, and those who have made significant contributions to the Institute's activities: Phuong Dong Hospital (Intracom Group),X3English Self-Study Center, VTV3 Vietnam Television, Newspaper of Journalists and Public Opinion, Customs Newspaper, People of Hanoi Newspaper, Tuyen Quang Provincial Radio and Television Station, Bao Tin Minh Chau Gold, Silver and Gemstone Company.
