Among these, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities played an extremely important role. I had two periods of close association with the university: in 1955 as a second-year student of the Faculty of Literature and from 1964 to 2000 as a staff member. For more than half a century, I have the most profound and unforgettable memories with the university, especially during the resistance war against the US, accompanying the university's teachers in the trenches. These are memories that my family and I will cherish for life." "My parents gave birth to me, shaped me into the person I am today, and provided the conditions for my development, primarily through the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. My connection has been with the Department of Ethnology, and now the Faculty of Anthropology. I wish the University and Vietnam National University, Hanoi continued steady development, even greater contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause, and the fulfillment of the aspirations of the era: to become an outstanding and advanced university in Vietnam, not only among the top in the region but also on par with international standards."
