The scholarship policy applies to students of 09 basic science majors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, including the following majors: Literature, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Political Science, Anthropology, Vietnamese Studies, Linguistics and Han Nom.
Accompanying and supporting from the School and organizations and businessesIn the 2025-2026 school year, the school will continue to grant 45 scholarships to students of 09 Basic Science majors with an estimated budget of 20 million VND/year for each scholarship. In addition, students will be given priority to consider and receive other scholarships with higher support levels if they meet the requirements, are assigned a sponsoring scientist, participate in scientific research, and experience activities throughout the course.
This is a scholarship policy to support students in basic sciences with the aim of attracting talent and developing high-quality human resources for the country in the field of social sciences and humanities.
The consideration and granting of scholarships to full-time students in 09 basic science majors will be applied from the QH-2022-X enrollment course onwards.
It is known that in the three school years from 2022-2023, 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, the school used a budget of more than 3.2 billion VND to grant Talent Attraction scholarships to students of 09 Basic Science majors.
In addition to the school budget, the scholarship fund receives support from organizations and businesses such as: SHB Bank Scholarship, Dao Minh Quang Scholarship Fund, Danko Scholarship, FSI Technology Development and Trade Investment Joint Stock Company. These are organizations and businesses that have accompanied the school and generations of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU for many years.
Scholarship conditions for attracting talentsAccordingly, scholarships will be granted to the following students:
For students considering entrance scholarships based on admission results, the following conditions must be met:
- Achieve high results in the entrance exam (or admission) to the above-mentioned science majors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities according to the University's admission methods such as: direct admission, priority admission, admission by international certificates, competency assessment test, high school graduation exam results... have confirmed admission.
- Achieve Good conduct and Excellent academic results or higher in three years of high school.
For students from semester I of first year onwards, the following conditions must be met:
- Students who have been considered for the Talent Attraction Scholarship for basic science majors, achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher and achieved a Good grade in the scholarship consideration period.
- No disciplinary action during the scholarship semester.
- The academic results of the scholarship review period must not have any subject below 8.0 (10-point scale) or below B+ (letter scale).
- During the semester for scholarship consideration, you must study at least: 15 credits (not including the following subjects: Physical Education, National Defense - Security Education...).
For third year students and above, students must participate in scientific research activities and have supporting evidence.
