Attending the opening ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector), representatives from functional departments and all training units of the University. Notably, the ceremony was attended by 154 postgraduate students and 93 doctoral candidates, both domestic and international, who were admitted in the first round of 2025.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of the University's leadership, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong extended congratulations to the new postgraduate students and researchers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a university with a rich tradition of 80 years, originating from the Faculty of Literature, established by President Ho Chi Minh himself in 1945. In the context of postgraduate training facing many difficulties, with the principle of prioritizing quality as the primary goal and philosophy in training, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities remains proud to be a unit chosen by a large number of students nationwide as a place to continue their journey of conquering high-level, in-depth knowledge and enhancing professional skills. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong further shared: In 2025, the University has fundamentally adjusted all training programs from undergraduate to postgraduate levels towards a modern, up-to-date approach that better meets the needs of society. The revised curricula will be applied immediately in the 2025-2026 academic year to all levels and programs. The postgraduate training process will also be standardized to ensure that students and researchers can complete their studies and research smoothly, on schedule, and with the highest quality.

On behalf of the postgraduate students and researchers attending the 2025 Postgraduate Opening Ceremony, PhD candidate Nguyen Thi Van Chi (Linguistics major) expressed her pride in being one of the successful candidates and officially becoming a PhD candidate at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. "For us, the upcoming period of study will present many challenges requiring exceptional effort from each student and PhD candidate, but with a scientific training schedule, the support of the Board of Directors and functional departments, the dedicated guidance, and the encouragement of our professors, we are confident that we will successfully reach our goal."
