Strong innovative training program, keeping up with reality
In the context of an ever-changing society, the Faculty of Political Science has comprehensively improved its training program. Instead of studying many separate subjects, the new program has streamlined the number of modules, increased the number of credits per subject, helping students study deeply and grasp core knowledge. The learning content is interdisciplinary, updated with practice, especially closely following innovations in institutions, national governance and building a strong political system.
The program also emphasizes the motto “learning goes hand in hand with practice”, increasing practical courses so that students can apply their knowledge to solve social problems. Teachers constantly innovate teaching methods, encourage discussion, critical thinking and creativity. Thanks to that, each lesson becomes interesting, students are challenged to the limits of their thinking and nurture their civic spirit. Three flexible majors to suit every passion
Each student has their own strengths and orientations. Understanding that, the Faculty of Political Science has built 3 major orientations for students to freely choose the most suitable one for their interests and abilities: National Administration, Politics and Communication, Ho Chi Minh Studies.
The new program with the above in-depth orientations helps students "study exactly what they like, develop their strengths". The school designs flexible content so that no matter what orientation, students are equipped with basic interdisciplinary knowledge, and at the same time have specialized knowledge close to their future jobs. Dividing orientations clearly from an early age will help students be more proactive in their studies, confidently pursuing their passions.

What makes the Political Science major at the Faculty of Political Science so special is the dynamic and modern learning environment, where each student has the opportunity to overcome their own limits. With a course size of about 60 students, teachers can closely monitor and support each student. Students are encouraged to actively participate in extracurricular activities, academic clubs, and associations, comprehensively developing soft skills and social courage.
Every year, the Faculty organizes field trips to agencies and localities for students to observe the operations of government apparatus, political and social organizations, listen to local reports, thereby broadening their knowledge and cultivating vivid practical experiences beyond books. Each trip is a time of challenge and maturity. Not only accumulating domestic experience, students also broaden their international perspective through lectures and exchanges with foreign professors and experts from Korea, Japan, Germany, the United States, etc., along with international cooperation and academic exchange programs. This diverse learning environment trains foreign language skills, global thinking, and integration skills – invaluable assets for the future. In addition to studying, the Faculty also cares about comprehensive development for students through scientific research, teamwork, event organization, soft skills training and forming a healthy social network. The spirit of autonomy, creativity and community responsibility is always promoted, creating an ideal environment for each student to confidently explore their potential and prepare a solid foundation for their career. With a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU, students can confidently work in Party, State, political and social organizations; become reporters, political and social editors; media specialists, policy analysts; teaching assistants, researchers; or take on administrative, human resources, and foreign affairs positions in businesses and non-governmental organizations. Many students also choose to start a business in many fields to pursue their passion and enrich themselves, their families, and society.
The Faculty always encourages students to continue their studies for Master's and Doctoral degrees with a favorable path thanks to the AUN-QA standard program. After improving their education or accumulating experience, students can become lecturers, researchers, policy analysts or hold leadership and management positions in domestic and foreign agencies and organizations.
