Prof. Dr. Trinh Dinh Hai (former Director of the Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, Head of the Department of Odonto-Stomatology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy) shared: According to a recent survey, more than 90% of Vietnamese people have oral diseases. In addition, the treatment of serious problems related to oral health will cost a lot of money and cause a lot of pain for the patient. Oral diseases are also one of the causes leading to problems of many other organs in the body: respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular, ... at the same time making people feel less confident in communication, work, directly affecting the quality of life. Therefore, today, teachers from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy come to all students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the hope of equipping them with in-depth knowledge about oral health, knowing how to prevent, care for, and maintain bright, healthy white teeth for life.

Professor Trinh Dinh Hai emphasized: although the rate of people with dental problems is very high, fortunately we can completely prevent them by proactively taking care of our teeth properly and promptly recognizing and treating symptoms when they are mild.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and all students, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) expressed his deep gratitude to the teachers of the Board of Directors, Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi for their affection and care for the students, especially the new students of K69 of the University. Despite their extremely busy work, after a hard day's work, the teachers were willing to spend their precious time to come here and give VNU-USSH students very meaningful gifts: knowledge about oral care, gift cards for free dental examination and consultation for all new students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and support for costs in case of treatment. In particular, disabled students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were given free medical examination cards during their time at the school. The very in-depth and useful sharing from the teachers and leading experts from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy will certainly help students know how to take care of their teeth properly, to have strong teeth and a confident smile.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan also hopes that in the coming time, teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to receive the attention and support of teachers of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in health prevention and care activities, especially oral health for students.
Also at the consultation session, representatives of the Board of Directors of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Dentistry presented free medical examination cards to disabled students from the Hoa Da Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu also represented the Club of Innovative and Entrepreneurial Educators of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU VIBErs) to present a sum of money to the Hoa Da Club to accompany and support the students' activities.

Touched by the affection and care of the teachers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hai Anh (a student of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication) shared: “On behalf of all the students and especially the disabled students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, we are extremely grateful for the sharing and the meaningful gifts that the teachers gave us today. Our Hoa Da Club is a place for less fortunate students to meet, share, and encourage each other, but also to organize many meaningful activities for the community. I and my friends in the Club cannot see the faces and figures of the teachers, but we can feel the warm smiles, love, and care that the teachers give us. Today, we are very lucky to be here, to listen to the teachers share a lot of useful knowledge to be able to take the best care of our health, and to be given practical and valuable gifts. Within the framework of the program, experts, teachers and students from the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy shared a lot of general knowledge about oral health care, and answered many questions from students about the symptoms they encountered.
Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Ngoc Khue (Deputy Head of the Department of Dentistry) shared: Oral care is not only an aesthetic issue but also an important issue that affects the physical and mental health of people. And prevention to avoid serious problems related to oral health is completely feasible and brings great benefits.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thi Dung (senior expert at the Faculty of Dentistry) has advice for students: Do not wait until you have pain or serious dental problems before going to the doctor, because it will take time, health, cost a lot of money and sometimes it is difficult to completely eradicate.
Attending the consultation session, the students were quite surprised to learn that some of the habits they often do every day are actually mistakes that should be avoided in dental care. After today's session, the students learned the basic principles in protecting healthy teeth and how to deal with symptoms related to dental diseases.
Students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities thanked the teachers for organizing a very meaningful program and boldly shared their concerns, hoping to receive advice from experts.
