Professor Trinh Dinh Hai (former Director of the Central Dental and Maxillofacial Hospital, Head of the Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Medicine and Pharmacy) shared: According to a recent research survey, over 90% of Vietnamese people have oral health problems. Furthermore, treating serious oral health issues is very costly and causes significant pain for patients. Oral diseases are also one of the causes of problems in many other organs of the body: respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular, etc., and simultaneously make people feel insecure in communication and work, directly affecting their quality of life. Therefore, today, the lecturers from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy are coming to all students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the desire to equip you with in-depth knowledge about oral health, how to prevent, care for, and maintain bright, healthy teeth for life.

Professor Trinh Dinh Hai emphasized that although the rate of people with oral health problems is very high, fortunately, we can completely prevent them by proactively taking proper care of our oral health and recognizing and treating mild symptoms promptly.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and all students, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) expressed his deepest gratitude to the faculty members of the Board of Directors and the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, for their affection and care for the students, especially the new students of the K69 cohort. Despite their extremely busy schedules, after a hard day's work, the faculty members readily dedicated their precious free time to come here and give VNU-USSH students incredibly meaningful gifts: knowledge about oral care, gift cards for free dental check-ups and consultations for all new students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and financial support in case treatment is needed. In particular, students with disabilities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were given free medical check-up cards for the duration of their studies at the university. The in-depth and insightful sharing from leading professors and experts from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy will certainly help students learn how to properly care for their oral health, ensuring strong teeth and a confident smile.

Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also expressed his hope that in the future, the faculty and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to receive the attention and support of the faculty of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in preventive health care activities, especially oral health care for students.
Also at the counseling session, representatives from the Board of Directors of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Dentistry presented free medical examination and treatment cards to disabled students from the Hoa Da Club of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, on behalf of the Club of Innovative and Entrepreneurial Educators of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU VIBErs), also donated funds to the Hoa Da Club to support the students' activities.

Deeply moved by the affection and care shown by the teachers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hai Anh (a student from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication) shared: “On behalf of all the students, and especially the disabled students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, we are extremely grateful for the sharing and the meaningful gifts given by the teachers today. Our Hoa Da Club is a place where less fortunate students meet, share, and encourage each other, but also to organize many meaningful activities for the community. Like the other members of the club, I cannot see the faces and figures of the teachers, but we can feel their warm smiles, love, and care. Today, we are so fortunate to be here, to listen to the teachers share so much useful knowledge to best take care of our health, and to receive practical and valuable gifts. We want to be worthy of their care.” "I hope that all students, including those with disabilities and those less fortunate, will overcome all difficulties in life, continuously learn, and later become good citizens, contributing greatly to society with their knowledge and loving hearts."

Hai Anh (Vice President of the Hoa Da Club) shared emotionally: "For us, the affection of our teachers is a great source of motivation on our journey to overcome ourselves and reach our dreams."
Within the framework of the program, experts, lecturers, and students from the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy shared a lot of general knowledge about oral health care and answered many questions from students about the symptoms they were experiencing.
Associate Professor Dr. Luong Ngoc Khue (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Dentistry) shared: oral care is not just an aesthetic matter, but also a crucial issue affecting a person's physical and mental health. Preventive measures to avoid serious oral health problems are entirely feasible and offer significant benefits.
Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thi Dung (senior expert at the Faculty of Dentistry) advises students: Don't wait until you experience pain or serious dental problems before seeking treatment, because that will waste time, energy, and money, and sometimes it will be difficult to completely resolve the issue.
Attending the counseling session, the students were quite surprised to learn that some of their daily habits were actually mistakes to avoid in oral care. After today's session, they learned the basic principles of protecting their teeth and maintaining good oral health, as well as how to appropriately handle symptoms related to oral diseases.
Students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities thanked the teachers for organizing this very meaningful program and boldly shared their concerns, hoping to receive advice from experts.
