For the third time, the "Journalism Sings" cultural program by students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication continued to bring a vibrant and spectacular atmosphere, captivating thousands of viewers. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the few universities with a long and rich tradition, proudly linking its development with many important historical milestones of Vietnamese education. Over the past 65 years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has made remarkable progress, affirming its position as a leading, key university; with a mission to be at the forefront of creating and disseminating knowledge and training high-quality human resources in social sciences and humanities, serving the cause of national construction and development; and aiming to access and integrate with global science and education. “Taking fundamental science and long-standing traditions as the foundation, and modern knowledge and high quality as the goal – that is our orientation,” shared Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, the Rector of the University.

On November 17th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will hold a ceremony to celebrate its 65th anniversary. In the atmosphere of this grand occasion, generations of faculty members expressed their affection for the university with its rich history and contributed many ideas for its future development.

Immediately after President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree (October 10, 1945) establishing the Faculty of Literature, higher education administrators demonstrated a timely understanding of the training trends of the era and knew how to gradually adapt and apply them effectively, in accordance with the realities of the country at the time of the successful August Revolution. This can be clearly seen in the Decree.⁽¹⁾November 3, 1945, document from the Ministry of National Education regarding the regulations on training programs and training methods at the Faculty of Literature.⁽³⁾To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Literature in Hanoi, we attempt to outline the educational philosophy of higher education during that period, its vision of integration, and its significance for today.
