In the bustling atmosphere of the spring days of Tan Suu 2021, which is also the "first spring" of teachers and students of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities, the students of the School have completed and "produced" a "homegrown" Tet issue magazine that is no less professional and full of emotions.

On February 2, 2020, the Conference to summarize the first semester training work and the 2021 enrollment plan took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal in charge of the School). The meeting was attended by representatives of the leaders of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities and functional departments and offices of the School.

The opening ceremony of the 2020-2021 school year at the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities took place on the morning of September 5, 2020. The event attracted great attention from the press and society. Many expectations and trust have been placed in this school - the only High School for the Gifted in the country in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, with the mission of training and fostering talents in Social Sciences and Humanities, aiming for high quality and international integration.

This morning (September 5, 2020), the opening ceremony of the new school year 2020-2021 of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities (HSSH&NVS) was solemnly held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The ceremony brought an emotional and proud atmosphere to the distinguished guests, teachers and 148 first-year students of the School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities. Much faith and hope were placed in the first opening ceremony.

On July 31, 2020, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a ceremony to award the decision to recognize the Head of the Subject Group and teachers of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Principal of the School), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities) and representatives of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and teachers of the High School for the Gifted.

On July 12-13, 2020, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities completed the first entrance exam with 824 students participating. The competition ratio for the majors in Literature, History, and Geography are: 1/20, 1/7, 1/7 respectively.
