At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities - presented a summary report on the training work for the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. The High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has 5 classes: a specialized Literature class, a specialized Geography class, a specialized History class, and 2 high-quality classes.

The High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities implements a teaching and learning program that closely follows the curriculum and schedule of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. From the outset, the school has organized fair assessment exams in five subjects: Literature, Mathematics, English, History, and Geography to survey and classify student quality. The school organizes specialized subject lessons for students in specialized classes to achieve the best teaching quality. The school has also organized preparatory classes for subjects with students participating in the gifted student competition, such as Literature, History, Geography, and English. The High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities is a pioneer in introducing Hanoi Studies into its curriculum, a subject that the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will pilot in schools in the coming academic year. In addition, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has implemented cooperative development activities, such as participating in the 13th Scientific Conference of Specialized High Schools in the Coastal and Northern Delta regions. The school has signed cooperation agreements with organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally, providing support in the form of books, materials, and learning equipment, helping students have a modern learning environment that serves their comprehensive educational needs, especially in foreign languages, skills, and integration capabilities. In addition, the school offers a second foreign language program (German) within the framework of cooperation with the Goethe Institute, and a joint research project between students from the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities and students from the National Junior College (NJC) in Singapore.

The school has agreed on the following points for the 2021-2022 academic year: Basically, the admissions process remains unchanged compared to 2020. The allocated quota of 150 students will be distributed among the Literature, History, Geography specialized classes and the high-quality program.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Rector in charge of the school, highly appreciated the achievements of both teachers and students of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in the past period. He hoped that the school would continue to develop and build a brand for the social sciences and humanities sector, becoming a reliable place for parents and students to choose.
