This year, 8428 candidates registered to take the entrance exam for the School, with a total of 8847 applications.
With this number of candidates, the school has arranged a total of 240 examination rooms, including 229 in Hanoi, 10 in Vinh, and 1 in Quy Nhon. Hanoi alone accounts for 11 out of 13 examination locations. The total number of invigilators is 550, of which 215 are students.
Regarding enrollment quotas, this year the university has 1400 places available, with the highest being for Management Science (130 places) and the lowest for Sino-Vietnamese Studies (30 places). Except for Linguistics, the quotas for each major this year remain unchanged compared to 2007. Additionally, this is the first year the university is recruiting for Political Science. Because it is a newly opened major, the number of applications is only 70 for 50 places.
