Some things to note regarding enrollment (September 5th)

On September 5th, 2008, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will hold an enrollment ceremony for over 1200 candidates who were admitted to the university through this year's university entrance exam as their first choice.

Students enrolling in the 2008 cohort should note the following:

1. Please refer to the floor plan to locate the lecture hall where you will complete the enrollment procedures.

2. Students eligible for social welfare programs must go to the Social Welfare Office (see diagram) to obtain tuition fee exemption or reduction documents before enrollment.

3. At the enrollment office, students need to prepare the following documents:

  • Admission letter for successful candidates (original copy)
  • High school diploma (original and notarized copy) or certificate of high school graduation from 2008.
  • School transcript (original and notarized copy)
  • Birth certificate (copy)
  • Resume
  • Documents related to social welfare policies
  • Two 3x4 photos and one 6x9 photo, with full name and date of birth clearly written on the back.
  • Tuition fees, other fees, health insurance, personal accident insurance, and medical check-ups.

4. After submitting their application, students will receive their class schedule and student handbook at the student registration desk.

5. For students who do not have a permanent residence registration in Hanoi, they need to keep their Temporary Absence Certificate to submit to the police station in the ward where they are registered for temporary residence.

6. Students eligible for preferential policies, if they wish to stay in the dormitory, should register.

Regulations on priority categories for the 2008-X National Assembly term.

1. Tuition-free categories:

  • Ethnic minorities from mountainous regions (admission target 01: permanent residence in Zone 1-VC);
  • Kinh people living in mountainous areas (those with permanent residence registration in mountainous areas but not in cities, towns, or urban areas) and Kinh people living in remote areas and islands;
  • Children of fallen soldiers
  • Children of war invalids with disabilities of categories 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4;
  • Children of war invalids 1/3; 2/3; 3/3;
  • An orphan, having lost both parents, with no one to rely on;
  • The student is disabled and their working capacity is reduced by 21% or more (as documented by the Medical Examination Board).

2. Eligible for a 50% tuition fee reduction:

  • Children of civil servants who suffer work-related accidents are entitled to regular benefits.

Attention:

1.Students belonging to the following priority groups must submit their priority certificate with their original application file when submitting their documents according to the instructions on the lecture hall:

  • Students are ethnic minorities from Zones 1, 2, and 3.
  • Students who meet admission criteria 02, 03, 05, and 07.
  • Students who are children of people affected by Agent Orange (Category 04).

2.Students whose families are classified as poor households (with an application for tuition fee exemption, certified by the competent authority, and accompanied by a poverty household certificate) should submit their applications to the Political and Student Affairs Office - Room 408, Building E - from September 6, 2008 to September 30, 2008 for submission to the University's Tuition Fee Reduction Review Board for decision.
