Today (September 26, 2008), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded master's degrees to 248 graduate students from various disciplines within the university. This included 170 students from the 2004-2007 cohort, 15 students who defended their theses ahead of schedule from the 2005-2008 cohort, and 63 students from previous cohorts.

Eight of the graduates come from units that collaborate with the university in training: the Institute of Sociology, the Institute of Philosophy, and the Institute of Han Nom Studies.
Of the 248 students who received their degrees in this batch, 141 were classified as excellent, 103 as good, and 4 as fair. Four students met the criteria for continuing their studies as doctoral candidates.
The school also awarded certificates of merit and prizes to the five students with the best academic achievements.
In his concluding remarks for the 2004-2007 academic year, Associate Professor Dr. Lam Ba Nam - Vice Rector of the University - commented: The percentage of students achieving excellent academic results increased compared to the previous year, and the vast majority of students scored above 9 on their graduation thesis defenses. The Faculty of Journalism and Communication was also commended for having the highest number of students who defended their theses on time.
