Artist Miyata Tenpuh, born in 1962, began studying calligraphy at the age of 5 and pursued it diligently until the age of 19. He is highly regarded in Japan and abroad not only for his basic and standard calligraphy but also for his artistic calligraphy techniques. He has received numerous national and international awards, including the Nice Prize at the Marc Chagall National Museum Friendship Art Exchange Exhibition (France); the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award (Japan); the Honorary Consul General Award from Greece; and the Picasso National Museum Friendship Award (France)...
