Language: Vietnamese and Chinese (with interpretation)The second international scientific forum between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and three prestigious universities in Taiwan (China) - Cheng Kung University, National Taiwan University and Dong Hwa University - was held to build a high-quality academic space, promote extensive research exchanges and cooperation.
Following the success of the first Forum with the theme “Inter-regional and integration - Discussing culture from an East Asian perspective”, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hosted the second Forum with the theme “Research and teaching in the field of social sciences and humanities in contemporary Vietnam and Taiwan (China): Development dynamics and trends”. This theme was chosen in the context of globalization and strong changes in modern life, countries and territories in Asia are constantly restructuring their education and research development strategies to meet the requirements of innovation, creativity and international integration.
The forum focuses on the following main contents:- Current status and development trends of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam and Taiwan (China).
- Innovation in research and teaching of social sciences and humanities: digital technology, AI, digitization of humanities knowledge.
Developing national strength through teaching and research on social sciences and humanities: the role of humanities education, the role of social sciences and humanities in enhancing “cultural resistance”, developing critical thinking, creativity and humanity in training…
- Experience in teaching, research, and developing training programs in the fields of social sciences and humanities.
- Academic cooperation and development of social sciences and humanities research network between Vietnam and Taiwan (China).
- Positioning the role of social sciences and humanities in the context of globalization.
With the participation of many prestigious scholars, the Forum is an opportunity to share experiences, exchange academic knowledge, and propose policies for education and research development in the period of international integration. This will be an important milestone contributing to the building of a sustainable academic network, promoting innovation, cooperation and development of social sciences and humanities in both Vietnam and Taiwan.
