The second International Science Forum between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and three prestigious universities in Taiwan (China) – National Cheng Kung University, National Taiwan University, and Dong Hwa University – was organized to build a high-quality academic space and promote extensive research exchange and cooperation.
Following the success of the first Forum with the theme “Interregional and Integration - Discussing Culture from an East Asian Perspective”, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is hosting the second Forum with the theme “Research and Teaching in the Social Sciences and Humanities in Contemporary Vietnam and Taiwan (China): Dynamics and Development Trends”. This theme was chosen in the context of globalization and the profound changes in modern life, as countries and territories in Asia are constantly restructuring their educational and research development strategies to meet the demands of innovation, creativity, and international integration.

The forum focuses on the following main topics:
- Current status and development trends of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam and Taiwan (China).
- Innovative approaches in research and teaching of social sciences and humanities: digital technology, AI, and the digitization of humanities knowledge.
Developing national strength through teaching and research in social sciences and humanities: the role of humanities education, the role of social sciences and humanities in enhancing "cultural resilience," developing critical, creative, and humanistic thinking in training…
- Experience in teaching, research, and curriculum development in the social sciences and humanities.
- Academic cooperation and development of a network for research in social sciences and humanities between Vietnam and Taiwan (China).
- Defining the role of social sciences and humanities in the context of globalization.
With the participation of many reputable scholars, the Forum is an opportunity to share experiences, exchange academic ideas, and propose policies for the development of education and research in the era of international integration. This will be an important milestone contributing to building a sustainable academic network, promoting innovation, cooperation, and the development of social sciences and humanities in both Vietnam and Taiwan.
We cordially invite all interested lecturers, researchers, trainees, and students to attend the Forum!
