Literature exam for block C is within reach
Today, July 9, 2012, 3,909 candidates came to take the Literature exam for group C at the Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. According to the records at the AB, BC and G test sites of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, many candidates finished the test earlier than the scheduled time. The majority of candidates interviewed said that the test was within their ability and close to the curriculum.Candidate Nguyen Thi Xuan (Vietnamese Studies major) said: I think the Literature exam is good and suitable for our abilities and the curriculum learned in the textbook. The first question asked about the beauty of the river in the work "Who named the river" by Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong, which requires students to remember the text and is creative when asking students to compare it with the beauty of women and find out the meaning of the images that the author used in the text. The second question about social argumentation requires candidates to understand the practical field of life and remember what teachers have taught in the social theory section. Compared to recent years, this argumentation exam is not too difficult, within the reach of students. The third question is about feeling the epic beauty of the character Tnu in the work "Rung xa nu" by Nguyen Trung Thanh, I think this question is suitable for the basic curriculum that teachers teach in school. Because this is an essay about the epic beauty of the character image in the work, if we can include literary theory in the essay, we will get a high score. I think in this essay you should talk more about the epic nature and relate it to related works to clarify the image of Tnu. Speaking confidently, I hope my essay will get 7 points or more.

With the first question, many candidates did not do well because they skipped studying this work thoroughly. Pham Thi Trang (Tourism and Travel Services Management major) said: The exam was not difficult, but I could not do question one because I did not remember it. This work is rarely mentioned in the study and review program. Moreover, when studying this work, I and many of my friends felt that it was not good, so I did not like to study it. Tran Nguyen Toan (Social Work major) commented: This year's Literature test was normal, not easy but not difficult. But because I did not pay attention to studying Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong's work, I could not do question one. Hoang Thi Xuyen (Social Work major) said: I did not expect the exam to be about the work "Who named the river?" I only remembered a little bit, so I did only okay.

Meanwhile, the social argumentation question received many different opinions from candidates. Phung Thi Minh Thao (Psychology major) said: The question about social argumentation is a good question. I have learned how to do argumentative essays so I can answer them. Vu Duc Toan (History major) said: This year's exam is not too difficult, but the most difficult is the social argumentation question because I do not understand the issue of opportunists very well. Sharing the same opinion, Pham Duc Thang (Social Work) said: This year's Literature question is easy for me, close to the curriculum. For the social argumentation question, the teachers have given us a review of the format and how to do argumentative essays, but the content asking about opportunism is a bit difficult for me.

Among the exam questions, the question about analyzing the epic beauty of the character Tnu in the Standard program was chosen by the majority of candidates. This is also the question that most candidates are most confident about because this is a typical work in the general education program, so few candidates skip it. Pham Thu Thao (taking the Literature Pedagogy exam) said: The Literature exam was easier than last year because in the parts I have studied, analyzing the character Tnu is relatively easier than analyzing characters in other works. This is also the question I am most confident about, I remember everything the teacher taught me about this character and take down all the ideas. Pham Thu Thao is also optimistic that she can get 7.5 to 8 points for today's exam and with the exam not being that difficult, most of the other candidates will be able to do it.
