Seminar on 2+2 International Study Abroad Programs

On the morning of September 6, 2009, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a seminar to provide advice on the 2+2 international joint training program. A large number of students and parents participated in the seminar to learn about and exchange information.

At the seminar, delegates were provided with detailed information about the activities of the two universities, the basic contents of the 2+2 joint training program. Other preferential conditions for international students, and especially the student loan program of Dong A Bank for students participating in this training program, were also specifically introduced.

Currently, there are 328 international students studying at Guangxi University.

From the perspective of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the joint training program with Guangxi University is a positive activity aimed at implementing the policy of diversifying training types, meeting the social needs of learners, and improving the quality of training through international cooperation. This joint project aims to train Vietnamese human resources with university degrees and Chinese language proficiency in the fields of public administration, tourism management, language and culture, which are of great interest in both Vietnam and China, creating opportunities for Vietnamese students to study in an international training environment.

In response to numerous concerns raised by delegates regarding the academic programs and training courses, Mr. Dinh Viet Hai (Deputy Head of the Training Department) stated that, given the similarities in political systems, culture, and overall development levels between the two countries, graduates will have many advantages in accessing practical work in both Vietnam and China. Furthermore, during the first two years of study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University will encourage students to study Chinese at Guangxi University during the summer to improve their language skills and familiarize themselves with the learning environment. During this time, the University will conduct periodic assessments of students' Chinese language proficiency and commit to implementing various measures to actively support their Chinese language learning. Lecturers from Guangxi University will also come to Vietnam to teach specialized subjects to students.

As a leading, prestigious, and long-established university in social sciences and humanities, with approximately 400 Chinese students studying there each year, and with a Chinese Studies program that has been training students for 10 years, students in the 2+2 program are given the best conditions to learn, communicate in the language, and understand Chinese culture.

At the seminar, school leaders, teachers, and experts in the field of overseas education answered questions from many delegates regarding issues related to: living conditions in Guangxi, the possibility of studying two majors simultaneously in the 2+2 program, the possibility of transferring and continuing education at a higher level, and job opportunities after graduation...
