Guidelines for summarizing the 2007-2008 school year and developing the plan for the 2008-2009 school year.

On June 19, 2008, the school issued guideline No. 791/HD-TC guiding the summary of the 2007-2008 school year and the development of the 2008-2009 school year plan.

Below is the instruction manual and its accompanying appendices.

I. Summary of the 2007–2008 school year

1. Assess the unit's performance.Based on the unit's and the school's 2007-2008 academic year plan (clearly stating what has been accomplished and what has been limited) in the following areas of work:

• Political and ideological work.
• Organizational and personnel training (including specific statistics on officials and employees who did not complete training and professional development plans; organizational discipline; and the role of departments/specialized teams).
• Training activities (including training activities of various systems, course outline preparation, textbooks/lectures, application of positive aspects of the credit-based training method; adherence to class schedules, grading assignments, etc.).
• Scientific research and international cooperation (pay attention to the progress and quality of the projects/works).
• Financial and infrastructure matters (paying attention to compliance with regulations regarding finances, equipment use, and maintenance).
• Other tasks.

2. Establishing the main directions and tasks for the 2008-2009 school year.

- Basis for construction:

• Six programs aim to standardize and modernize the school's activities.
• Directions and plans for the 2008-2009 school year as presented in the report of the Board of Directors at the Conference of Key Personnel (May 2008)

- ContentDevelop specific plans for each area of ​​work, tailored to the unit's specific circumstances and characteristics.

- PlanAssigning tasks to each staff member and employee for the upcoming school year.

II. Evaluation of emulation titles and recommendations for awards

1. Evaluation of emulation titlesFor the 2007-2008 academic year, based on the Guidelines on Emulation and Commendation issued by the Principal on May 17, 2007.

2. Consideration of proposals for awards.Groups and individuals receive awards in various forms: Certificates of Merit from the Rector, Certificates of Merit from the Director of Hanoi National University, Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, and various types/classes of Orders.

3. Make a listGroups and individuals (accompanied by a declaration requesting the awarding of commemorative medals) who have met the required years of service are awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Development of Hanoi National University and the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Education.

4. Units that plan to celebrate even-numbered anniversaries of their establishment.(From September 2008 to February 2009) eligible for commendation at all levels, submit commendation nomination dossiers during the end-of-year school summary for consideration by the corresponding Emulation and Commendation Council.

5. Implementation time

- From June 23rd to July 10th, 2008, the units organized year-end reviews based on individual self-assessments and summaries from departments/specialized groups.

- Documents to be submitted to the school (via the Human Resources Department) include:

• Report summarizing the 2007-2008 school year and outlining the direction and tasks for the 2008-2009 school year;
• Award records and registration forms for emulation titles for the 2008-2009 school year (attached as a file on a floppy disk);
• Self-assessment of performance results for the 2007-2008 school year and work plan for 2008-2009 of all staff and employees in the unit;
• Minutes of unit meetings, minutes of vote counting (including ballots) for evaluating emulation titles and awarding commendations;
• List of nominees for emulation titles and list of nominees for commendations (according to the template in the document guiding emulation and commendation work, attached as a file on a floppy disk);
• List of nominees for the "For the Cause of Education" Commemorative Medal and the "For the Development of VNU" Commemorative Medal (with individual and collective application forms attached);
• Personnel records.

- Deadline for submitting applications for emulation and commendation:no later than 4:30 PM on July 11, 2008(The School's Emulation and Commendation Council is scheduled to meet at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Heads of departments are requested to arrange their time to attend the meeting.)

- The School's Emulation and Commendation Council will not consider cases (individuals or groups) that submit their applications late or with incomplete documents.
