With the approval of the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of VNU (VNU Youth Union) is organizing a Dialogue Program between the Director of VNU and young VNU staff.

With the approval of the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of VNU (VNU Youth Union) is organizing a Dialogue Program between the Director of VNU and young VNU staff.

1. Purpose

- To create opportunities for young staff members of VNU to interact for the first time with the top leaders of VNU in an open forum to learn about VNU's strategic development plan, and about groundbreaking policies and decisions aimed at building VNU into a prestigious university in training and scientific research, and a reliable source of high-quality human resources for society.

- This is also an opportunity for leaders to express their hopes and expectations for young staff members to contribute to the development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

- Through this program, young staff members of VNU will demonstrate their responsibility and role, offering suggestions to VNU leaders on solutions to improve the quality of management, training, and scientific research at VNU.

2. Objectives

- Young staff members of VNU have a thorough understanding of the strategic plan, major policies, and solutions for the development of VNU.

- Many concerns and questions from young staff members regarding mechanisms, policies, and remuneration schemes aimed at promoting the role of the younger generation in the development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi will also be satisfactorily answered by the university's leadership.

- Many highly intelligent and bold initiatives will be proposed by young officials at the Forum.

- The forum will be held annually on March 26th to review the implementation of the previous year's conclusions and discuss issues for the new year.

Morning of April 18, 2008.

Hall 10/12 - Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

5. Participants in the Forum

5.1. Vietnam National University, Hanoi:The Director of VNU; leaders of the Office and functional departments of VNU; and the Standing Committee of the VNU Youth Union.

5.2. Heads of units directly under VNU Hanoi

5.3. Young staff members:Young staff members (management, administration, technical, teaching, and research staff) from member universities, affiliated faculties, centers, research institutes, and other units under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The allocation of delegates is as follows:

* Student Union of the University of Natural Sciences; Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Student Union of the University of Foreign Languages:Each unit sent 100 delegates to attend.

* Student Union of the University of Technology; Student Union of the University of Economics:Each unit sent 40 delegates to attend.

* Faculty of Law Student Union:We sent 30 delegates to attend.

* International Faculty Student Union:Twenty delegates were sent to attend.

* Faculty of Education Student Union:Ten delegates will attend.

* Branches of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Youth Union:Send all members of your Youth Union branch to attend.

6. Issues discussed at the Forum

+ Overall strategic plan for the development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

+ What are the policies for training and utilizing personnel (management, administration, technical staff, and faculty) towards professionalization to integrate with the global higher education community? What about doctoral training? What about the training and development of administrative, technical, and support staff to become knowledgeable, skilled administrators with a professional work style?

+ Policies, mechanisms, and strategies of the VNU leadership aimed at attracting talented individuals to work at VNU.

+ Solutions to improve the quality of training in order to truly meet the needs of society.

+ Solutions to improve the quality of scientific research products. Mechanisms to create conditions for more young researchers to directly lead large-scale research projects. The issue of research commissioned by companies and businesses? The formation of research schools, the establishment of "Young Research Groups"...

+ The roles and responsibilities of young staff members in implementing the strategic development plan of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

+ Proposals from young staff members participating in the development of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
