1. 2. Candidates can familiarize themselves with the exam method by referring to the VNU sample exam on the VNU website. Currently, there are some websites and social networks that announce practice exams for the VNU Competency Assessment test set, this is fake information. VNU only publishes instructions related to the Competency Assessment test on the VNU website at:http://vnu.edu.vn/Candidates need to pay attention to this information to avoid being deceived and wasting time and money.
3. VNU offers a lot of support for candidates taking the competency assessment exam. Specifically, the My Dinh Dormitory Management Board, under the VNU Student Support Center, has reserved nearly 100 rooms, equivalent to more than 500 accommodations for candidates and their families taking the exam with a fully equipped accommodation system. To register to stay at the dormitory, candidates can register directly at the My Dinh Dormitory Management Board, Ham Nghi Street, My Dinh II Urban Area, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi or call the hotline: 04.3204.3999 or 098.4772382.
4. How to take the DGNL test
- Candidates log in to their exam account (candidate account slips are given in the exam room) to take the exam on the computer.
- Candidates do each part in turn. After finishing part 1, candidates can do part 2. After finishing part 2, candidates can do part 3. Candidates cannot go back to the finished parts to do it again.
- Candidates are free to change their options (for multiple choice questions) or re-enter calculated values (for fill-in-value questions) during the test time of each section.
- Candidates cannot attempt to retake the test from the beginning, for example by logging in again from the beginning or in any other way. During the test, if candidates encounter computer problems or other abnormalities, they must immediately notify the test supervisor.
Based on the results of the competency assessment test, VNU will consider admission from high to low scores (the minimum admission score is determined by major and type of training program).
5. Candidates must be present at the examination location at least 30 minutes before the examination time stated on the examination notice. At each examination session, candidates must:
- Present the candidate's ID card/Citizen identification card,
- Submit 01 4x6 photo, clearly write on the back of the photo: full name, ID card number/Citizen ID card number, registration number (photo taken no more than 03 months before the time of the contest, original photo, not edited, background of photo is blue or white).
6. Candidates must pay attention to the instructions of the invigilator at the beginning of the exam to perform the correct operations, and not intentionally do otherwise. During the exam, candidates must comply with the following regulations:
- Candidates must be present at the exam location on the specified date and time;
- Bring and present your ID card when coming to the exam;
- Only pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, calculators without additional memory cards and without text editing capabilities are allowed into the exam room.
- Do not bring any audio and video recorders or devices capable of receiving live audio and video signals;
- Do not bring into the examination room weapons, explosives, flammable substances, beer, alcohol, carbon paper, erasers, documents, communication devices or information storage devices that can be used to cheat during the examination; Do not smoke in the examination room; Follow the instructions of the invigilator; Sit in the correct position corresponding to the registration number printed on the examination card, receive the computer and familiarize yourself with the computer.
- If the candidate sees that the name, registration number, and exam room on the account slip do not match the information on their exam card, they must immediately notify the exam invigilator to receive the correct account slip.
- The list of common handheld calculators (capable of performing arithmetic, trigonometric and advanced calculations) that candidates are allowed to bring into the examination room includes: Casio FX 95, FX 220, FX 500A, FX 500 MS, FX 500 ES, FX 500VNPlus, FX 570 MS, FX 570 ES, FX 570 ES Plus and FX 570 VN Plus; VinaCal 500MS, 570 MS, 570 ES Plus and 570 ES Plus II; Vietnam Calculator VN-500RS, VN 500 ES, VN 500 ES plus function; VN 570 RS, VN 570 ES and VN-570ES Plus; Sharp EL 124A, EL 250S, EL 506W, EL 509WM; Canon F-788G, F-789GA; and equivalent calculators.
7. Get exam results
- Candidates can look up their results on the VNU website and the VNU Testing Center website. The certificate of results of the VNU testing center with the red seal of the VNU Testing Center and the signature of the Director of the VNU Testing Center will be sent to candidates who have taken the exam.
- The results of the foreign language proficiency test are valid for 24 months from the date of the test. The results of the foreign language proficiency test are only valid in the year of the test for admission to the University of Foreign Languages - VNU or training programs of units within VNU that require the use of foreign language proficiency test results for admission and universities and colleges not affiliated to VNU that have announced the use of foreign language proficiency test results, which have been approved by VNU for admission (candidates must register for the foreign language proficiency test in accordance with the admission requirements of each training program).
- VNU does not organize re-examinations of the National High School Exam and the Foreign Language High School Exam.
