After more than three hundred years of formation and development, the South has become a cultural region with many brilliant and unique achievements. This is clearly demonstrated in the field of literature and language in the South. Up to now, there have been many important research works on Southern language and literature, however, there are still many unresolved issues. Therefore, Thu Dau Mot University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ho Chi Minh City National University and the Institute of Literature decided to cooperate in opening a national scientific conference "Issues of Southern literature and language" to publish new research and discuss the issue.
