Organizing exams and issuing certificates in specialized foreign languages ​​for the tourism industry in Quang Ninh (May 21, 2016)

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities organizes examinations and issues certificates in specialized foreign languages ​​for tourism, in accordance with Official Letter No. 610/TCDL-LH dated June 20, 2012, from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism regarding the authorization to organize foreign language proficiency tests for international tour guides, specifically as follows:

1. Eligible participants:

• Individuals who need to apply for or renew international tour guide licenses.
• Tourism students

2. Foreign languages:English, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Spanish, Italian, Khmer, Indonesian…

3. Location:Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.

4. Expected exam dates:21/5/2016(Registration deadline: May 12, 2016

5. Exam registration documents:

        a. One 4x6 photograph (write your full name and year of birth on the back of the photo)

b. One photocopy of the ID card

c. One photocopy of the birth certificate

d. Application form (attached)

6. Examination format

a. Comprehensive writing test (reading, writing, and listening skills): 90 minutes.

b. Thematic presentation: 7-10 minutes.

7. Examination fee:

        + Examination fee for one language:

- 2 candidates: 3,000,000 VND

- For 3-30 candidates: 2,300,000 VND

- For 31 or more contestants: 2,150,000 VND

Prioritize:

• 10% reduction in exam fees for students in examination boards with fewer than 50 candidates.
• 25% reduction in exam fees for students with examination boards of over 50 candidates.

+ Retake exam fee:

- Retaking one skill: 50% of the exam fee.

- Retaking 2 skills: 70% of the exam fee.

(Conditions for organizing the exam: A minimum of 30 candidates.)

8. Planned review sessionsMay 19th & 20th, 2016

Tuition fee for review course: 1,000,000 VND/course (4 sessions)

(Class size requirement: minimum 15 students)
